My family has been a part of the Waldorf School of New Orleans for almost 5 years, and our experience has been amazing. The teachers truly love our children and foster a sense of partnership with the parents, the administration is thoughtful and accessible, and the other families work together to form a wonderful community. The more we learn about Waldorf educational methods, the more impressed we are--this 100-year-old, worldwide educational philosophy is completely in line with current child development research. I especially love that our children are encouraged to love learning, a life skill that will suit them in any field.

My daughter is a fifth grade student at WSNO. She is very happy. This school nurtures her intellect, her soul, and her self-discipline. Each week she faces daily focused, rigorous units of academic work and also learns languages, how to craft things with her hands (knitting, sewing, metal work, etc), discipline and develop her physical body, and studies vocal and instrumental music. The teachers, parents, and administrators treat her an a precious individual as they nurture and respect who she is becoming with love and discipline. I love how the values of the school are contagious. Her sense of gratitude, forgiveness, and simplicity have impacted how our entire family functions. Thank you Waldorf.

When our son was a toddler, he had a babysitter named Marga. Marga is the coolest teenager you'd ever want to meet. We watched her go through the process of applying to college, getting accepted, and now enrolled in her top choice - all done with little stress and lots of confidence. Marga was the first student enrolled in Waldorf School New Orleans - we knew we wanted our son to have the same education and experience she had. So we were thrilled when he started Waldorf nursery last year. We look forward to watching him grow, thrive and develop into a fully rounded person, and we already see the seeds being planted now for its fruition. Thanks Waldorf for being the best school for our child in New Orleans.
