Imagine going on a tour, and one of the first questions you hear from the owner is if you live in government housing? When I mentioned it to Bernadette later in an email, she accused me of making it up as if she were there next to us the entire time we were having a conversation. I know what he said. Unless I was filling out school forms to which this question was relevant, this was a disrespectful question. The question was meant to consciously or subconsciously suggest I fit negative stereotypes that code "poor" too arrogant people. The school also doesn't indicate anywhere online or on the tuition paper that they accept government vouchers, making it even more offensive. They also didn't let me know government aid was why he asked. Instead, they masterclass gaslighted me and said the question wasn't even asked. This isn't an inclusive community, so I would look elsewhere if that's important to you. The daughter speaks about the whole thing as if she had recorded the conversation. When Maria Montessori founded Montessori education, it was created for factory workers' children. It's since turned into an elitist community. Update: I did a quick google search, and there are at least three government apartments within 7 minutes of the school. For a school that has been in business for 45 years, they lack online reviews.
