The Portland Montessori School

My 4 y/o son absolutely loves attending this school every day. He eagerly looks forward to weekdays because of the wonderful experiences he has here. The guides and assistants are incredibly patient and knowledgeable, and they have played a crucial role in teaching my son how to handle his emotions, solve problems, and interact with others. They've also significantly helped him improve his speech clarity, which has been an incredible relief for us. I also want to commend the excellent after-care program, Camp Vida. As a work-from-home mother, letting go wasn't easy, but The Portland Montessori School made the transition smooth and reassuring. Thank you for making such a positive difference in his life. A phenomenal, welcoming learning environment. The teachers are highly qualified and amazing. The community is fantastic. Our son loves school. We couldn’t be happier with TPMS!

Couldn't be happier that we lucked into this spot for our toddler as early as 18 months old. Working with The Portland Montessori School has empowered us to bring the Montessori approach into our home- it's more calm, there are fewer power struggles, our kiddo has more agency and independence and is truly flourishing. I often find myself in difficult moments channeling the teachers: "What would so and so do in this moment?". It feels like a truly collaborative process between the guides and the parents, and the administration is deeply invested in providing a constantly improving experience. Even better is that this school goes through grade school, so the agonizing search for the Next School is many years away and we can rest easy knowing we have an amazing community to grow with for years to come. Campus is adorable.

We put our child into their daycare program almost 7 months ago and we all absolutely LOVE it. The teachers are incredible, patient, and our child is so helpful at home because of the Montessori approach. The community has been amazing as well.
