As a former employee I cannot recommend this place. My child was targeted due to personal discrimination towards myself. After multiple times of my child being sent home the admin claimed he was hitting, kicking, biting, scratching, and head butting her I asked for video footage of the incidents. I was ignored and refused, my child’s care was terminated without notice or reason and I was let go. They claimed it was a new policy but not even the staff were aware of this “policy”. They are very unprofessional and lack communication overall. These people do not like to be held accountable for their actions, and will do anything to make sure of that. On another note, the meals and snacks provided are a disgrace. The children are left hungry for more as they are served a couple crackers they call “snack”. The “playgrounds” are nothing more than turf, the children are left fighting over what little is provided outside. I do highly recommend the teachers though, they deserve better. I just cannot recommend the way the school is being ran by admins/ owners. It’s so sad to see a place that could have been great being ruined by poor management. Edit: the below comment again is unprofessional and answered nothing and the fact you’re “offering” to discuss this is down right disrespectful knowing we both know this is not true. I also noticed a few of your reviews are pretty much the same as mine. One of my reviews was regarding child abuse the other poor management and it makes sense that you are from guidepost as well. Do better.

As a parent and also as a child development professional who has worked in and with schools for over 20 years, The Nest leadership and their wonderful staff have far exceeded our expectations! In my opinion, the thing that sets The Nest apart from other schools is that the Owner/ Director is hands on and truly cares about every person in the building – from kids to teachers to parents. Prior to joining The Nest, our daughter was at a traditional daycare/ preschool where we had experienced frequent staff turnover and poor school communication. This created a school community that was unpredictable and stressful and we knew that our daughter needed a school that provided a caring and consistent environment. We had watched The Nest being built and had heard nothing but positive reviews. When we toured with Ms Shavonda, her gentle child centered approach put our minds at ease that The Nest would be the exact change our family needed. Moving to The Nest has been one of the best parenting decisions we’ve made so far! Our only regret is that we didn’t do it the day their doors opened. Since joining The Nest over a year ago, our daughter has grown so much, not just in her love for learning, but most importantly in her self confidence. Dropping her off in a school she loves brings us, as parents, a sense of relief that she is in a loving and nurturing environment. This past spring when our daughter was diagnosed with a rare hip disease which required us to restrict the majority of her physical activity overnight, we realized that the phenomenal teachers and the leadership at The Nest would be one of our greatest resources while maneuvering her treatment and safety needs. Not only do we trust that her safety at school will be a priority, but also that her limitations right now will be embraced and she won’t be made to feel less capable than her peers. Having this level of confidence in where our daughter spends her days allows us to focus on our work responsibilities while she enjoys learning and spending time with friends.

I’ve been following a case involving an undocumented head injury to a little boy at this facility. The family tried to keep things civil with just trying to find out what happened to their son, why can’t this 3 year old sleep because of his head hurting. They reached out to the school asking why their son was scratched and bloody (bit as well), but were told a number of lies and given the run around. A few days after the incident and a report being filed with the Texas Dept of Family and Protective Services the school called not with a sorry, but to make them aware that the assistants (not teachers because the teachers are supposedly on maternity leave) will be retrained.. why aren’t there TEACHERS in this school that this family is paying their hard earner money for? Also, they claimed there still no footage that they could provide the family or internal incident report. Fast forward a few weeks later, no update, but the school called asking when little dude was returning because invoices will be sent out soon.. HA! To top off how unprofessional this has been handled the owner took it upon herself to tell parents during drop off not to attend little dudes 3rd birthday (folks came and they all had a blast!). Fast forward to today, an investigation has been conducted and it was determined that “violation(s) of of the rules or law were determined” by TX Heath and Human Services and the owner has blocked the family on every platform, continues to play on their phone, and conduct herself in an unprofessional manner. Pleas note, this situation is not with my child, but I believe that individuals considering this educational institution should know about the owner’s recent events and the actual care provided (or lack their of).

The staff and owners here are great! Communication has been good since my son started and I appreciate the attentiveness to detail. My son loves his teacher Ms. Stephanie and enjoys his classmates and comes home a happy boy.

Our daughter has been attending The Nest for over a month now and there are not enough words to say how amazing the team is here! Her teachers, Ms Mandy and Ms Priscilla are more than we could have asked for!! They are so communicative and responsive and it’s obvious how much they care for our daughter. They make us feel so comfortable and confident that our daughter is getting the best care. The director Tiffany is also amazing! She’s attentive and very hands on. She was so supportive when we transitioned into child care for our daughter and we couldn’t be more thankful. We would recommend The Nest 100 times over 😊

This school has been truly life changing for my family. Both of my children have ADHD, and my son has Autism. We have had horriable experiences in public school, and other montessori schools. I was almost about to give up and just homeschool them and figure out finances later. And then we were blessed with finding this school via recommendation from other parents whom has a great experience here. Both of my kids have absolutely thrived here. The teachers and admin staff have gone above and beyond for my children, meeting them where they are and guiding them into wonderful directions. I would recommend this school to ANYONE, because I truly think this school values each child as a individual and helps them blossom into their full potential.

My daughter has attended the Nest at Anderson Mill since last October. We were looking for more than what we were experiencing at her previous school. She has blossomed since being here. At her previous school, we dropped her at the front door and got zero communication other than a parent teacher conference 2x a year and it would just be “she’s doing great!” and that’s it. Here at the Nest, we get great communication, updates, photos, and during our conference Ms. Tiffany spent a solid hour talking to us about my kiddo’s skills, personality, areas to focus on, and I really feel like she genuinely cares about my child’s growth. The parents have a WhatsApp group and organize play dates and events outside of school. The school throws wonderful events and has a very “open door” policy, which helps build community. It feels like the teachers here really enjoy their jobs and care about the kids. I would recommend this school to anyone. I’m so happy we found it!
