Scotch Plains Montessori

It’s a great place for kids to learn! They maintain a very good student to teacher ratio ensuring quality of services. My child never got sick here as the area is kept clean and because of few students. My kid was always sick with cold, fever and ear infections at other daycare schools around this area. We are happy to be a part of Scotch Plains Montessori family!

We enrolled our 3-year-old daughter at Scotch Plains Montessori last January, and we couldn’t be happier with our decision! After checking out a few schools, the moment we visited, we could tell this was the right place. The staff is so caring and nurturing, and the learning environment is just incredible. Our daughter has truly thrived since joining—she’s making new friends, loving her learning, and growing socially. It feels like more than just a school; it’s a real community, a village that supports not just the kids, but the parents too. We’re so grateful and highly recommend Scotch Plains Montessori to any parent looking for a warm, engaging place where their child can grow. It’s like a little family!

Sctoch Plains Montessori is one of reasons why we are happy to move to the town! Teachers are compassionate, and the Montessori program really exceeded my expectations. I have a son in the kindergarten and younger son in the infant class now. They both are learning a lot, and I can see their growth. My older son is a little shy, but since he joined the pre-K class, the show and tell they do on Friday helped him gain his confidence to speak, and now he talks a lot! Also, without the Montessori teachers support, he would not have started a potty training! I am very happy and grateful for the school and teachers' dedication! Also, we recently created the Montessori mom's group on What'sApp, and that has been such a great tool to connect with other parents. Overall, our experience with the SP Montessori is great, and we would recommend this school to any other parents!

My son has been attending Scotch Plains Montessori for 2 years going to his 3rd. The best part is the trust I feel with his teachers. Everyone is exceptional, sweet, kind, and attentive to detail. There is a great sense of community, great communication, beautiful activities and a true care for each child’s diverse needs. Highly recommend

We couldn’t have asked for a better daycare for our daughter. The teachers and staff are incredibly kind, thoughtful, and organized, making it an excellent environment for kids to grow and learn. I love how the school focused on academics, emotional and social growth, and practical skills. Our daughter has developed great presentation skills, can express her emotions clearly, and has even learned to be a little chef and do scientific experiments. The art projects are creative and fun, sparking her imagination. Another big plus for us was how the small classroom sizes allowed for individualized attention, ensuring our daughter’s unique needs were met. Plus, I feel like the built-in interaction with other classes really prepared her for larger classroom settings she is going to encounter in public school. I also really appreciated how fantastic the communication with parents was. The school kept us in the loop and really made us feel like part of a community. I want to give a special shoutout to Ms. Melissa. She is amazing! Her experience, dedication, and love for teaching really shines through in how she engages with the kids, making learning a joyful experience. We couldn't be happier with our decision to enroll our daughter at SP Montessori. It’s been an incredible journey of growth and learning for her! If they had the option, we would keep her there through elementary school!

The best. We have had both of our kids here since 4 and 10 months. The classes are small and the teachers are excellent. Highly recommend.

I can’t speak highly enough of this school. The teachers and staff are caring, attentive, creative and fun. The school is safe, clean and puts my mind at ease knowing my 15 month old daughter is in their care. My now 7 year old attended preschool here and it still feels like a family after all these years. The staff are the same, which speaks for the atmosphere and support they are given by the thoughtful and highly knowledgeable owners.

I had such an amazing time touring this school. Christina was quite welcoming, got to meet most of the teachers, had some amazing food, which I later found out is catered daily for the students, but most of all, the atmosphere an the energy at Scotch Plains Montessori is what stood out!!
