Somerset Hills Montessori School

Our three children attended Somerset Hills Montessori and we were very happy with our experiences. The teachers and staff have created a warm and nurturing environment where the children are well cared for and everyone is treated with respect. Our kids made good progress in core academic skills, gained social confidence, and learned about a wide range of enrichment topics from history and cultures to science and nature and everything in between. We were often pleasantly surprised with what the children learned and brought home with them from school. Hats off to the SHMS director and teachers for doing a great job. Highly recommended if you are looking for a preschool in the area.

My son has been at SHMS for two and a half years and I've been extremely happy with the level of care and Montessori education. The teachers have all been at the school for many years. I am at ease every morning when I drop off my son in their capable hands. There is not the feel of chaos and teenage "filler" teachers we experienced at daycares in the area. They have also been extremely attentive with my son's allergies. The kids have plenty of time to play outside in their beautiful playground and the school really feels like a community. My son's favorite part is swimming daily at the summer camp, and weekly tumbling, yoga and music classes. I highly recommend SHMS!

Simply AMAZING! Our daughter is in the kindergarten class now and has been with the school since she was 2. She can't wait to go to school each morning and doesn't want to leave. It never ceases to amaze us how much they teach her, not just academically but socially as well. The teachers have all been there for years and are truly committed and passionate about what they do. We had visited many day cares in the area before, but SHMS really stood out for us. So glad that a friend had recommended this school to us. Our younger son is also there now and we are confident that he will get the same strong foundation that the school has provided and continue to provide his sister. To top it off, it is very reasonably priced. We LOVE the school and can't thank the teachers enough for what they have done and continue to do for our kids.
