The teachers were caring without judgement. And they made an effort to kept parents informed. Our teachers made an extra effort to send home an album of our sons pictures in the classroom throughout the year, which was really nice. It was extremely frustrating that the teachers weren’t equipped to meet our child’s needs. They lacked the experience, flexibility and consistency. There is improvement opportunities that have been shared with administration. Overall, the school was not accurately reflecting what was communicated during open house. The school was was not flexible in meeting our sons needs. SHP did not provide a caring, nurturing, and positive learning environment for our son, but taught our son to receive attention at school he needed to act out. Our sweet boy that started the school year by saying hello to everyone ended the school year by just walking to his class every morning with his head down. It was not the warm and welcoming environment we thought.
