I give the highest recommendation for Rutherford Montessori School. We came to RMS nearly 4 years ago after the daycare we were in was closing. We had already moved our first child (who was under three) twice due to relocation and our second had just turned one. We were besides ourselves. We had looked at every other daycare in the vicinity and were not finding the right fit. Almost as soon as I walked into RMS, I knew it was the right place. Every room we walked into the teachers were happy and engaged with the children. I knew it was a good sign that the teachers had working with Diane for many, many years (some over a decade!). We immediately enrolled our kids. The school takes such an individualized approach to each child. They coaxed along my shy tentative oldest and work to balance my headstrong second without ever crushing her spirit. Along the way, we had a third child who started in the infant room where she was given an incredible amount of love and attention. My oldest is now in kindergarten and is thriving academically, socially, and emotionally. Not only do the children learn all the appropriate academics, they are also taught to work collaboratively, support their friends, and take personal responsibility. We’ve had great experiences with each of the teachers. We’ve experiences a true partnership with Diane and the teachers for which we are grateful.

I do not even know where to begin with how thrilled we are with Rutherford Montessori School. We moved our son here when he was 2, a few times a week, just expecting him to do better being apart from us and get to socialize. Instead, in addition to the social and emotional nurturing he received, the cognitive developments we have seen are off the charts. Our son is now 3, though a young 3, and excelling socially, physically, emotionally, and academically thanks to the well-rounded curriculum (yes, a curriculum at age 3!) and support he receives from RMS. I leave my son each morning not worrying about being apart from him because I know he is in the best possible care.

I couldn't be happier with my decision to enroll my children in Rutherford Montessori School. I can't say enough about the quality care and CLEANLINESS of this school! Ms. Diane is on top of everything, and although kids do/will spread germs, Ms. Diane keeps it contained. She constantly updates the parents about any issues and responds to concerns immediately! I have two children that are currently in pre-k 4 and pre-k 2. I, proudly, am the definition of a helicopter mom lol. Nevertheless you could imagine how hard it was for me to let go. With that said, the warm loving teachers @ RMS helped me and my babies make the transition into school. Ms. Peggy has an amazing way about her, both my children were weary to start and she handled both introductions incredibly! My daughter took more time to adjust, she was getting herself so worked up that she literally made herself sick. By the 5th class she finally had a great day! Ms. Diane kept me informed about everything daily and was so kind to send me pictures to help put my mind at ease! I absolutely love the curriculum at RMS! My son is learning Spanish, and actually retains the information to use it at home. He is always so proud to tell me what his job of the week is, who he worked with, how they dressed "Rosie" the smartboard calendar tool (which is his favorite topic lately). The Montessori program is wonderful at teaching children independence, my kids now ask "Mommy can I set the table? Mommy can I help clean up my toys? Mommy can I read 4 books tonight?" this shows me the incredible growth and development in my kids. I couldn't be more proud to be apart of the Rutherford Montessori School family!

My husband and I are so thankful that we found Rutherford Montessori. We are constantly blown away by how amazing the staff is. They are all so loving and truly care about the children. Since the moment we walked in and did our tour with Ms. Diane, we knew that was the place for our daughter. She has been going since she is 4 months old and it is the best decision we've ever made.

I have 2 children who have attended Rutherford Montessori school and 1 who is currently in the pre-k 3 program. After searching the area for a preschool which not only offers a great educational program but also has loving and caring staff I found the Montessori school and have been with them ever since. The moment you walk through the doors you feel like your at home, everyone from the director to all of the caregivers are so welcoming and truly care about your child. I had a very hard time with the idea of leaving my babies, but the staff at Montessori put me at ease and I always left knowing my child was getting the best care and love daily. They also do so much for the children such as mothers/Father’s Day breakfasts, Halloween parade, a visit from the fire truck during fire safety week, and the most beautiful holiday show in December. Also my 2 older children who went through the program were more than prepared when they entered kindergarten, their teachers were so impressed by what they already knew when they started. Great education and so much love and care at the Rutherford Montessori school!

This daycare is by far the best! Upon entering, it is so warm and welcoming. As a new mom, I had such anxiety about leaving my baby. Sending my infant to Montessori gave me assurance and I knew my baby was safe. The teachers/caretakers/administration give so much love to each child and everything is recorded from when they sleep, to feeding, to diaper changes. Throughout the day, I get updates and pictures of my little one having fun and enjoying her time. Each room is bright, colorful, and always kept clean! My baby is now 6 months, and I feel like her personality as blossomed because of Montessori. I am so happy and pleased.
