We are going into our 3rd year with Phoenix Montessori School, and I am so thankful we found them to care for our son. He has developed into a smart, caring, and genuine little guy right before out eyes, and I attribute it to the teachers and staff at Phoenix. They are experienced, patient, and care deeply about the children they teach. I highly recommend this school for kids of all backgrounds; I am eternally grateful we landed there a few short years ago.

Calm, supportive, student-led, and quality are just a few of the ways I can describe our experience at Phoenix Montessori. My two children currently attend Phoenix and are each completing their second full year. The teachers at this small traditional Montessori school are highly qualified and effective educators. They meet each child “where they are.” Students receive individual gentle guidance daily in both academics and social emotional development. As a teacher myself, I cannot speak more highly of the quality academic instruction both of my children are receiving. More importantly though, the values of kindness, self-control, empathy and self-reliance are upheld every day and I am grateful for that above all! I highly recommend reaching out today if you are interested in learning more!

I went to this school from 2001-2003. I'll always remember how my love of learning started here. They picked me as the narrator in our preschool class play. I skipped Kindergarten and jumped to 1st grade, where I was so ahead of my private school peers, they started a book club for advanced readers and selected me as the first student to participate. Fast forward and I've graduated in the top 1% of my college class. I feel so grateful to Mrs. Blackford and her amazing school. I only wish every child could afford such a blessed opportunity.

We’ve had two girls attend Phoenix Montessori School. It has been an amazing experience with both. Our oldest came out knowing how to read and do 4 digit addition problems. She was able to jump into first grade well above her peers. Our youngest is finishing her first year and already starting to read. The school is small meaning each kid has gotten specialized attention throughout the day. The owner has a degree in Montessori (given by Maria Montessori’s son) and has been teaching for over 30 years. I would highly recommended checking the school out.

It was by chance that I found out about Phoenix Montessori. A mother at a park mentioned it to me. I was curious since I knew nothing about Montessori schooling. I knew I wanted something more than my current preschool option. I called and met with Mrs. Blackford. After meeting with her I knew that my son needed her as his teacher. My oldest went there for two years 2014-2016. He is now in the second grade and is in the top reading level in current school. Math concepts and reading comprehension are some of his greatest strengths, that I credit to the teachers at Phoenix Montessori. My daughter is currently on her first year and my youngest will join her for the 2018-2019 school year. I drive 40 min round trip twice a day because it is so worth it! They love their teachers! I am thankful that my children have a strong foundation in education and a love for reading!

My daughter started attending Phoenix Montessori at the age of 2 & 1/2 and will graduate this May after completing Kindergarten. I cannot say enough fabulous things about Phoenix, the curriculum and all of the teachers. The teachers provide an excellent education that also includes kindness, love, respect and support to help each and every child be successful and soar above the level of any other early education program I could list. During the 4 years of schooling, my daughter definitely received a superior education and would highly recommend this school for any child. My daughter was reading at the age of 4 and doing math at the age of 5. When she starts 1st grade in the fall of 2018, she will be well above the curve. Many thanks to the wonderful Mrs. Alice Blackford, Mrs Holli Fernandez, Mrs. Liz Chaney, & Mrs. Soldado for all they gave to my child and all of her classmates. Cannot ever thank them enough. And many thanks for the love they gave every child as well. Genelle Slagle
