Open Minds Child Development Center - Olathe

This is the most EXCELLENT daycare. The price is unbeatable, the people are amazing, and my child doesn’t want to leave when I pick him up at the end of the day! Open minds, thank you for allowing my child to develop, and learn in a fun way! Would 10/10 recommend this daycare to any parent searching!

Our kids love Open Minds. We love Open Minds, especially because I have peace of mind knowing my kids are in capable and loving hands every day. The curriculum is top notch, the updates (multiple times a day) are so appreciated, and there is no drama. So glad we found Open Minds.

Open Minds has been a wonderful place for our family. We have put one child through and have another currently enrolled. We are very thankful for Open Minds, not just because they are close to our home, but because they care so much about our children. They are a great asset to the Olathe community and will no doubt be around for years to come because they provide outstanding care for the thing we as parents care about the most: our children.

We LOVE Open Minds and are continually amazed at how much our daughter learns there! At the end of the day what is most important to us is how much they care as we never doubt the integrity or sincerity of this organization! My daughter started going to Open Minds at 3 months old - she's 17 months now. We immediately loved the owners, they are very invested in each child's learning and development. The teachers are really top notch! When we learned about how they write the curriculum for each class/age group, I was shocked! So a 3 month old has a development plan? Yes, the plan and goals are sent throughout the week (this is what we're doing, here's the goal of this activity.). When I tell people about the parent/teacher conferences and development screenings, they always ask "so this is a daycare?", I reply, "it's not a daycare, it's a development center" (I helped out at a daycare in middle school and high school; it was nothing like Open Minds). And as the weeks & months went on we (and others) could really tell that she was actually learning; she was signing words, becoming a little social butterfly and started walking early. The center provides a real family feel; we interact with the teachers regularly. Pre-Covid, parents were able to stop by throughout the day, talk and laugh with the staff and play with their kiddo and friends. During Covid, they have taken every precaution to keep the children and staff safe. No visitors, staff meets parents outside during pickup/drop off, kiddos are temped at the door before entering, extra cleaning throughout the day, etc. They host weekly Zoom calls to allow parents an opportunity to "join the class". I could go on and on (the owners do great work in the community. A food pantry was implemented for families during Covid) but the facts are 1. My daughter is safe and happy, 2. I can trust the stsff with her 3. She is in an amazing learning environment 4. I wouldn't take her anywhere else.

We absolutely love this daycare!! We started sending our daughter when she was 12 weeks old, and I was so nervous/anxious to take her for the first time, but Open Minds made it very easy for me. Now she is all smiles when we pull up and runs through the doors to get inside. They are truly focused on helping your child meet their milestones. My daughter has learned and developed so much there that I feel bad keeping her home some days because I know she’s missing out on great things! The entire staff is very friendly, the facility is clean, and the whole program is just remarkable! It’s definitely worth every penny!

We have been very happy with Open Minds. We have been impressed with their quick, organized, effective response during the pandemic especially. I feel like the staff really know my kids and my kids have grown and learned so much here. They love going to Open Minds.
