We absolutely loved our experience at Northwest Montessori. Though our son was only there for less than a year, just before kindergarten, he absolutely loved going to school and we wish we had sent him there sooner. They did so many fun and learning activities every day, and we were especially impressed by the level of "work" he would bring home. Our little guy loved the science lessons, that would happen every single say, and he learned a ton in terms of writing, reading, and math. I could not recommend this school more.

We had a great experience in Ms. Ali's class at Northwest Montessori! When we visited the school and saw her class all working quietly on their academic packets, it was very striking. Many of the other places we visited were barely contained chaos. The work packets brought home each week showed a varied and advanced curriculum. They did fun science experiments almost every day and really fostered a love of learning. They sent many photos and videos of the children at work and play. We have moved on to Kindergarten at Brentwood Elementary and so far the curriculum looks far more basic. :(

We will be leaving NWM next week to start kindergarten and we have loved our time at NWM. This is really a fabulous school with amazing EDUCATORS who care about their kiddos. Our little guy will start elementary school MORE THAN ready! He loves going to school and has learned so much (math, science, reading, history) We can't say enough great things about the NWM team.

We love NWM! I barely trust my own parents with my son and was a mess when we first started school but I am so relieved to have found a place where my son feels loved and safe and I now feel totally comfortable leaving him. My son is very sensitive and gets his feelings hurt easily. Every time that I have expressed a concern or talked to the teachers about something that made him sad, they have been so understanding and have been partners with me in solving the problem. Initially, we only had our son in school half days but he started saying he wanted to stay with his friends longer when we'd pick him up and now goes a full day bc HE WANTS TO! If that isn't proof of a loving environment, I don't know what is! The teachers are great and I highly recommend getting to know each of them. They really do care about the kids. When we have been out of town, our teacher will wait for us to get back to have special themed days so that he doesn't miss out without us ever asking her to do this. Thank you NWM! We're so glad we found you.

AMAZING! AMAZING! I cannot recommend NWM enough! We were so fortunate that both of our boys were able to attend this great school and be under the care of such fantastic and loving caregivers. Our eldest son started here in 2014 and did 4 years before transferring to Pre-K. He is a very smart young man and excelling academically, which we attribute to his time at NWM. To say that he was prepared for prek is an understatement. NWM not only prepared our oldest academically but they instilled a love of learning in him that has carried him through the most difficult academic situations. Now with our almost 4 year old, we see that same love of learning. He rushes home and asks us to do "homework" with his brother. He loves to read books, color, and tell us what he has learned. We are so fortunate to have found this great school with amazing instructors and staff. If you choose NWM for your little one you will be happy you did!

My kids have attended/attending NWM, and it has been a great experience. Over the span of seven years, the teachers and teaching assistants fostered my kids through their toddler and little kid stages and have equipped them for kinder and beyond. My kids have made friends.

My 2 year old and I moved back to Austin last year, and this is her first daycare. The move meant a lot of change for my little. They were beyond understanding about my concerns around consistency for her. They put her in a class for kids just a few months older than she was, specifically so we could make sure she had the same teachers and same building for the next year. Those teachers, specifically Ms. Sabina and Ms. Rubina, are absolutely AMAZING. My daughter talks about “Ms. Bina” at home regularly. All of the teachers and classroom aides I’ve met are kind and know her name, even if they aren’t in her class specifically. You’re not allowed in the building and I don’t think the have cameras, but they do send pictures almost daily. I honestly think the education she’s getting is advanced for her age group, as well. She rapidly learned about colors, numbers, letters etc after starting in her class. They’re always having fun themed days and doing projects. The school also offers you to pay for dance and Spanish classes through 3rd party teachers who come in on certain days. To sum up, I really couldn’t recommend this school highly enough. I had the opportunity to move closer to a new job that is in downtown Austin, but one of the reasons I didn’t is because I know my daughter loves her teachers and school so much. PS I just noted a negative review pertaining to potty training. I just want to say that my daughter went through potty training while at this school, just over 2 years old. The feedback given to us was that it may go smoother if we are able to enforce over a period of time at home, so that they could just support our efforts at school. That’s exactly what we did. We planned so that we started over thanksgiving break, so she could go diaperless all day, every day. Then, when back at school, they matched the efforts we made at home. It was honestly a breeze, and I felt very supported by the school. She has been in undies during the day for most of the last year.
