Our older daughter attended TMS for all of P4 (primary) with Ms. Roxanna and Ms. Aarti (ages 3-6) until she started public school for kindergarten. Our younger daughter attended Nest with Ms. Eileen until she moved to T1 (toddler) with Ms. Michelle where she is currently. Both of our girls, my husband and I have no complaints. We love the school so much. From Ms. Monica to Ms. Rebecca to Ms. Ashley to every teacher both of our daughters have had we are so grateful for what they have contributed to our girls’ development and joy of learning. Our oldest daughter was at a second grade reading and math level by the time she went to kindergarten, and our youngest is on that same track, not to mention the manners and kindness they reinforce. TMS values are very much aligned with ours as parents, which creates the best combination for success for our girls. The feedback the teachers provide assists us in using those skills at home for our daughters to continue to learn. Additionally, the school is always clean, structured, organized and administratively competent in a way that keeps working parents involved and communicated with consistently, and more importantly confident in the school and teachers’ abilities to keep our children safe. We ❤️ TMS

Ms Roxana and Ms Lisa are exceptional Montessori teacher's who truly fosters a love of learning in Zara. They create a nurturing and supportive environment where Zara feels empowered to explore her interests at her own pace. Both Ms Roxana and Ms Lisa's deep understanding of the Montessori philosophy shines through in her patient approach, allowing zara to reach her full potential."

My child has been going TMS since she was 8 weeks old and is in the Nest 1 class with Ms. Eileen. She is well loved and cared for both emotionally and physically. She looks forward to going to school and smiles every morning nodding her head when I ask if she’s ready to go to school. She loves music with Ms. Jodi and enjoys getting to play and see different instruments. She gets to explore different sensorial activities as well as being introduced to baby sign and art activities.

As an office staff member at The Montessori School at StarCreek, I can honestly say it’s been a privilege to be part of such a dedicated and passionate community. The team here, from the teachers to the administration, genuinely cares about each child’s development and well-being. The Montessori philosophy is at the heart of everything we do, and it’s inspiring to see how it encourages independence, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning in our students. The school fosters a warm, respectful environment, where every child is seen as an individual and supported to reach their full potential. I’m proud to be part of this team and contribute to an atmosphere where both students and staff can thrive. The positive energy, teamwork, and focus on nurturing young minds make every day at work a rewarding experience.

Please read carefully. we enrolled our child in this school at the age of 2. The teacher treated him poorly. our son had screaming fits daily. Our teacher told my wife that she thought our child was on the spectrum. We would pick up our child and there would be a teenager aloof while the kids played by themselves. Do not let the open library and fish tank fool you. Terrible school and set our child back about a year.

My daughter attended this school from 13 months old to almost 9 years old and our experience could not have been better. I must admit that the main reason we initially chose the school was because of proximity to home and ability to pick up late (by 6 pm), but we stayed so long because the teachers and staff are amazing. I honestly didn’t know anything about Montessori vs traditional school, but came to realize that my daughter is made for hands-on learning. Let’s start from the beginning: I give most of the potty training credit to her toddler classroom teachers. She has multiple food allergies, so being able to pack a lunch and have them heat it up was a plus. They took her allergies very seriously and understood that it is a serious medical condition, not a dietary or lifestyle preference. Early on, I noticed that all of the older kids in the school were such excellent speakers. When she started reading at such an early age and doing oral presentations, I appreciated that this school trains these kids to have a voice and learn the skills to engage your audience. They do journal work everyday. Whenever she would bring a completed journal home I would read it… it was always filled with poetry and sketches. Her teachers helped feed her passion for art and encouraged her creativity. She did voice, piano, dance, soccer, basketball, chess, and gymnastics through the school as well. I’m so glad she was able to spend so many years at The Montessori School at StarCreek.

Absolutely love Montessori at Starcreek. I’ve been familiar with the Montessori method and I found this school after researching many many schools and their methods. They are awesome. Ms. Monica, Ms. Rebecca, and Ms. Ira are fantastic. This school is perfect for my 2 yr old and for our family!

We attended this school from November of 2019 until March when the school closed due to the pandemic. Our one year old was just starting to walk and was in a class with a great student - teacher ratio with a great lead teacher who communicated perfectly and seemed to sincerely enjoy kids. She left a few months after we enrolled. Issues that looking back I should have voiced (but in trying to be understanding I did not). Their bookcases were turned backwards ALWAYS. Why have them if you are not going to let the kids use the books, materials, toys? They hardly ever had books and toys out for the kids to amuse themselves. Whenever I picked up my child the kids were milling around in basically an empty room. I presume it was because they would make a mess? They hardly went outside, maybe it was too cold at that time of year-- but even in indoor gym they were just running around with maybe one ball? Sometimes with nothing. I did say something once but the assistant teacher acted like this was normal. SO basically another empty room. One of the floating teachers would talk sternly to the toddlers who were just doing what toddlers are supposed to do- touch, explore, talk! And what do you expect if you do not provide things for the toddlers to explore? They are going to touch and explore things in the room that you don't need them to like drawers, getting up on tables- these children need stimulation! For what you pay at this school there was very little value education-wise. Good childcare, very little education. After the closure due to the pandemic, we were offered a credit for half of March, were not charged for April, but because they require us to pay one month's tuition in advance they already had our May tuition and were only going to offer a credit for that as well. They were open in May with online learning- but an 18 month old is not going to sit still in front of a computer all day nor would I want him to. After emailing several times I received the same canned responses, polite but obviously refusing refunds and offering credit for the future. I explained we were moving (which we were, and have already moved to West Frisco) and unable to use the credit or online learning. Same canned responses. Claiming fairness to all families they would not make an exception. What I find unfair is that the families who get to continue attending the school get their money back to use for a different month's tuition, but if you leave then you lose the money completely. How is that fair and equitable? Next claim was that the tuition agreement states there are no refunds to provide "consistent or reliable staff". Our awesome lead teacher was gone after 2 months, and the Director herself stated she let go 45+ teachers after pandemic closures so clearly she didn't have to pay them. She was profiting off of her tuition agreement clause (requires 45 days notice) which was designed to protect her if a family did not provide proper notice (which is understandable). She did not charge April tuition because obviously you should not charge people if you cannot provide a service! But somehow the logic switched in May? My child is one - we paid for childcare not online learning. Finally, I spoke to the person who recommended this school to me years ago and received an update from her that her family left because with this school money is the priority. I sought her opinion as she had more experience with the school than I had, and I wanted to make sure I was reading the Director fairly. She advised the Director cares about the bottom line, and that if it has to do with not refunding money, then it has nothing to do with the pandemic. This is her reputation. Further supporting this the Director advised me refunding the pre-paid tuition would put her school at risk. Sad, but we are all going through financial trouble due to the pandemic - and that is not a justification for unconscionably keeping our pre-paid tuition. SHAME! SHAME! SHAME!
