Montessori Day School of Brooklyn

Update to my review: The best thing I ever did was enroll my son in this school. Even with the Covid Crisis the attention to the children- remotely- is impressive. Children are still participating in Circle Time, Music, Movement, Yoga, and Gardening. Lesson plans are very detailed and easy to follow. My son still feels like he's going to school and interacting with his friends. I know this isn't the case for many children at other schools so it really drives home the importance of having a good school that really focuses on the well-being of the child- which is exactly what MDS does.

We had a great two years at MDS. Our son entered school as a shy, cautious 3-year old, and emerged a much more self-confident, wildly creative 5-year old ready for kindergarten. Our son needed a welcoming, nurturing space to learn how to be himself. He got that from MDS, along with the very supportive community that encouraged him to explore his eccentricities, not hide from them. We are very happy with the education our son received, and with the welcoming and supportive community we joined as a family. We recommend the school highly!
