Apple Montessori Schools & Camps - Cliffside Park

We've been sending our child to Apple Montessori schools since our child was 7 months old and we believe that the choice of school was what really helped with her development and she has been making amazing achievements! When she was an infant, we sent her to the Hoboken location and due to difficulties with the commute, we switched her to the Cliffside Park location when she was old enough to continue her education at Apple schools. The best part about Apple Montessori Schools is that they are not franchises and all of the schools operate on the same curriculum, including the teacher trainings. I truly appreciate the trainings that all the teachers receive on Montessori method and their attention to detail to each child's developments throughout the year. When you speak to the teachers, it is as if the teacher was only watching my child all day! They are so attentive and caring to each child and my child LOVED being there! The toddler room in Ms. Villega's class is superb! Ms. V and Ms. Picasso are a phenomenal team for the toddler children. Thanks to them, my child is fluent in both English and Spanish (and of course also our native language that we speak at home). The preschool is organized in a true Montessori way, whereby children of different age groups can teach and learn from each other. The younger children watch the older children and learn from their behaviors; and because the older children know that the younger ones are watching, they seem to have a sense of responsibility to behave well and be good role models. Ms. Rodriguez was a fabulous teacher. Since my child was 14 months, the child was starting to learn to read through the unique reading program at the school. And now, my child is not even 3 yet but the child is able to read some simple words. Additionally, she is doing simple arithmetic; for example, she understands how many articles are needed to accommodate her friends and herself in a social setting. My child is also able to hold intelligent conversations with adults and understand her surroundings. The child is able to do most daily tasks alone, including dressing, brushing teeth, feeding herself, and using the potty. I can't recommend this school enough. The difference between the Cliffside Park and the Hoboken locations is that the CP one is smaller, with a closer community. All of the teachers know all of the children and they know every family. We are sad to have left this school and we are so grateful beyond words for what they have done for our child.

My 6 years old son had great time at Apple Montessori School in this summer. Especially, Mrs.Rodriguez and all of the teachers were very nice and warm. They tried to find student’s identity very short term. focused on my son and taught him. I am really appreciate in this summer. All the moments miss so much.

My daughter has been attending Apple Montessori in Cliffside Park since September of last year. Prior to enrolling, our daughter was attending daycare when a neighbor highly recommended Apple. When my wife and I visited the school, we had a mutual feeling it was the right move. Right away, there was (and is) a level of comfort and transparency. Her teachers, Ms. Alcantara and Ms. Suarez, and their team (especially Ms. Villacis and Ms. Hanan), have been very informative, hands on, understanding, and warm. They are extremely patient, encouraging and celebrate her accomplishments. She comes home every week saying, doing or singing something new. They involve the parents throughout the year with periodic observation, conferences and school events. We are very thankful for everything they do. Can’t say enough good things!

I'm really glad we chose Apple Montessori at Cliffside Park for my daughter. I'm glad to know my daughter is in a safe environment where the teachers never raise their voices, kids get redirected if needed, she learned functional skills, concepts in math & language, manners, being respectful, yoga, music, all about nature, animals and geography, all at an early age. The school's values are excellent, everyone is a pleasure to speak to. The parent-teacher conferences are effective, they have a report on all the learning categories and they always ask me if there is anything additional I'd like them to help my kid with. My daughter loves her teacher and all the assistants! Ms. Alcantara teaches with lots of love, she gets the kids engaged to follow directions and to understand what they're being taught, and you can see this during the class observations! Ms. Suarez is always mentioned by my daughter also, she's very caring and always willing to help. She used to call me weekly to let me know how my daughter was doing when she started at 2.5 yrs old. Ms. Villacis is the sweetest, always taking care of my daughter at the door in the morning with a positive attitude. The Director, Ms. Rogers, is always supportive and helpful in all kinds of issues and questions. The billing department is also very responsive and accommodating. All a great team! My daughter has friends, older and younger than her, and is very happy to go to school every morning. She loves Show and Tell every Friday and now that she gets homework she's very excited and proud to work on it daily. They have parent-kid engagement days with nice activities and a day where grandparents are specially invited, which I love. The kids' birthdays are well celebrated, making them feel special while learning the concept of turning a year older. The kids perform twice a year on Halloween & for International Day, I only wish there was more space to invite more family for Int. Day, our favorite! I appreciate when they introduce healthy snacks! The kids are also involved in preparing the Thanksgiving feast, a lovely tradition. The communication via email and app is good, but faster is through a quick phone call. Love their weekly newsletter aka "backpack", is full of useful information and event reminders. I highly recommend this school to everyone!!

My child has been attending Apple since he was 6 months old. He is now almost 3 and is thriving and enjoys learning. His teacher Mrs Villegas is outstanding. She runs her classroom with so much structure and love. The children are so well behaved and are like little adults. She teaches them to be independent thinkers, and they learn life lessons through the Apple Curriculum. My child is always happy at pickup and sometimes doesn’t want to leave! We are so grateful for the opportunity to have met Mrs Villegas and Ms Rogers (the director of this school) under their leadership and care I am confident that my child is in the best hands. You will not regret sending your precious babies to this school. The classrooms are small, but filled with love and it radiates through all of the children and teachers and staff.

My daughter started at Apple Montessori at Cliffside Park when she was about 18 months old. Now five and wrapping up her final year, she is headed to first grade in a new school next year. I can’t say enough about the school and the education she has received. We only wish the school offered grammar school, so she can continue there. She has absolutely excelled at Montessori, and the care and education she has received with her teachers Ms. Alcantara and Ms. Suarez has not only helped her develop academically but also as a beautiful, kind, caring, curious little human. The entire staff is wonderful, including each and every assistant, her reading teacher Ms. Rodriguez, and the director Ms. Rogers. We are incredibly thankful for our daughter’s experience there and the foundation they have given her for life. We will miss her Apple Montessori family.

The team at Apple Montessori is absolutely lovely and amazing. They foster a caring environment and they teach critical skills to the children. My son feels welcome and very comfortable in the school and adjusted immediately to the longer day as well. Thanks to the whole team - Ms. Alcantara, Ms Suarez, Ms Amaya, Ms Hanan, Ms Villacis, and Ms Loyal - for all they do everyday for these kids!

My 4.5 year old has been at Apple Montessori Cliffside park for 3 years. She comes home every day chatty and happy, with new skills, new lessons and new experiences. Her teachers, Ms. Alcantara and Ms.Suarez continually go above and beyond to make the children feel safe, loved and intellectually inspired. I truly don’t know where my child would stand educationally or emotionally without these two ladies. They often call often to give me a heads up on how my daughter is progressing. They let me know when she has a particularly good day, so her confidence continues to grow. We also have one on one meetings regularly to talk about her school work and social skills. She is writing, starting to read on her own and doing math every day in preparation for kindergarten. I feel they are ahead of the curve educationally because each child progresses at their own speed to ensure they have full understanding. Every person on staff at Apple Montessori is attentive, hardworking friendly and caring. It feels good to know my daughter in such good hands, safe and happy while I'm at work.
