My son has attended the Montessori Children's School the past 3 years and I have found it to be a wonderful experience for both him and our family. I love that the environment in his classroom is created for his developmental level and that every item in the room has a purpose. Montessori education has been a learning experience for our family, in that it is not like a traditional preschool/kindergarten program. Something I found helpful is that the school offers educational events multiple times in the evening during the school year for parents to learn and understand the philosophy of a Montessori program.. This has been very valuable in learning what is expected from my son in the classroom. The school has been very supportive to our family in many ways!

My daughter has been at this school for 3 years and we love it. We were wowed the moment we stepped into the school to observe. The classrooms were buzzing with children working individually, collaborating and focused on their work. Their methods are incredible and allow my child to learn and create at her pace. The collaboration with the older students enriches her experience and allows her to learn from her peers as well as instruction from the teacher. If I have any questions they are welcomed and we have an open dialogue. My favorite part is the community. It is not only a feeling but a deep rooted philosophy that encompasses the students, staff, teachers, parents and surrounding community. The moment we stepped in the school we felt this was an incredible surprising gem in Jacksonville!

Our daughter has been going to the school for 3 years and it is amazing. The staff are courteous and love the children. Very educational and fun environment inside and out. Multicultural student body, that encourages parental participation with plenty of volunteer opportunities. We would recommend this school to anyone with children. Very welcoming to new students and families. Very close community that includes anyone who wants to be involved. There was a noticeable difference in our child once she began at the school, a definite and welcome difference from public schools. We look forward to continuing her education and our participation at the Jacksonville Montessori school as long as we are in the area.

This school far exceeds our expectations for a Montessori school experience. The staff is both loving and nurturing for our child but very helpful and informative on Montessori methods and implementing them in our home. I have never met a place more inviting and open to all types of people. I am absolutely in love with this school, teachers and staff. Any family members I bring to the school are very impressed with the facilities and staff. I cannot say enough about what a fabulous learning environment MCS is for my child.

We love this school so much that both of our children are enrolled here. The school does a fantastic job with regular continuing education for teachers (including more certifications) and consistently upgrading the environments for our children. The focus here truly is your child and giving them the individualized education they need. I can't say enough good things about this school! When my son finished his first year in primary he was already doing addition - at barely 4 years old! My 2 year old would come home and tell me all about the continents and different animals living in different environments. We are so excited for this school year and to see what else it will bring. The parental support in this community has been phenomenal as well. It's truly a family and children are the core of it!

My child has been a student at MCS for 7 years and our experience has been rewarding. I have a child that is excited about school! The Directors/Directresses are passionate about the curriculum and the overall growth of the child as they develop in a Montessori Community. The all parent volunteer board of directors have grown the school over the last 20 years to offer classes beginning with preschool and advancing thru the 6th grade. The campus continues to grow with facilities ranging from classrooms, an outdoor education learning environment and a play area that invites exploration and creative play. We are so excited about the 2015-2016 school year!
