We are absolutely thrilled with MELC! The teachers are warm, caring, and genuinely invested in our four-year-old's development. We are very happy to see our child making significant strides socially and academically. The location is highly convenient too. We're in GR and it takes less than four minutes to get to. We wholeheartedly recommend MELC to parents seeking a nurturing and academically enriching environment for their kids.

Middleton is truly an amazing school. It’s like being part of a warm loving family. They take care of your child like their own. We spent two wonderful years at Middleton. Linda is the best. Every teacher truly cares about your child. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Our son attends MELC and we love this preschool. Amazing, supportive teachers. Lots of outdoor time. Great student to teacher ratio. We could not be happier with MELC and how they treat our child like their own.

We love this little school! Our daughter has thrived since she joined the threes program. Now in her second year and she has learned so much. The staff is wonderful and she is excited to go to school everyday.

A loving home away from home for our kids! The environment that MELC provides is a nurturing one which follows a wonderful curriculum. I am so happy we found this school and this special community it has created over the years. My children have thrived here - growing academically and socially while constantly being treated with respect and kindness. The teachers are patient and encourage the children along the way. They really feel like family members. With show-n-tell, pizza, camp, and all of the seasonal traditions, Middleton makes it such a fun and memorable school year for all of us!

Our both sons went to Melc and they absolutely loved it! The teachers are caring, experienced and they have very flexible schedule. We are extremely happy that we chose this school for our sons and it is highly recommended!

We've had our oldest son enrolled at MELC for 3 years. He's just about to complete Pre-K this year and we couldn't be happier with our experience. Moving here from Brooklyn, we didn't know anyone. MELC was not only a great school for our son, but also a great community for us to meet other parents. We now have our 2nd son in the 3's program at MELC. The teachers are patient, caring and very experienced. Both our children have made amazing educational progress, excelled socially and made great friends at MELC. We highly recommend the school.

We couldn't be happier with our decision to send our twins to Middleton Early Learning Center for preschool. The close proximity to Glen Ridge is perfect for walking them to school. The teachers honestly care about the boys' academic and social development. They take the extra time to meet with parents if they have concerns and also tell you stories about their day. My boys absolutely love their teachers and friends at the school. If you're looking for a preschool with teachers who have worked in early childhood education for decades and follow a curriculum this is the place for you. Your children will grow leaps and bounds!

We live in Glen Ridge and we’re SO happy we chose Middleton Early Learning Center for our daughter’s preschool! We heard from many of our neighbors about how MELC has been a Glen Ridge institution “forever” and they sent their kids there. Now that our daughter has completed her first year, it’s obvious why this school is beloved by the Glen Ridge community! The teachers are caring and experienced and we can already see how well she will be prepared for Glen Ridge kindergarten. And our girl loves having lots of outside playtime and has made so many new local friends! Since it’s just over the border of Glen Ridge, the school couldn’t be more convenient. It’s a quick drive with easy drop off or we can walk and stop at Carteret Park (just around the corner) on the way home in the afternoon. My daughter can’t wait to go everyday for Pre-K next year and of course, we’re looking forward to sending our son when he’s old enough too!

I love this preschool! Our daughter has learned so much in one year! I can't wait to see what the next year's pre-K at Middleton brings! The small class size and amazing teachers have improved her speech in leaps and bounds, got her to where she tells me to "calm down" if I seem frustrated (love it!), and she excitedly tells me about the letter of the week, its sounds, words that start with that letter, who she played with, and many fun things from her day...basically preparing her emotionally, academically, socially, and more for Kindergarten. In addition to the amazing curriculum, they are beyond flexible, working at your (and your child's) pace. She started three mornings a week at the beginning of the year, added lunches here and there, then a fourth morning, and now afternoon enrichment programs too! Perfect for a commitment-phobe like me! It's also very conveniently located - a quick bike ride or walk from our Glen Ridge home. And finally, the community that the school builds is fun and familial, building relationships with socials and gatherings for both parents and kids...with families from Glen Ridge, neighboring Bloomfield and Montclair, and beyond, easy play dates abound! LOVE THIS PRESCHOOL!
