Lakewood Montessori staff and owners are beyond amazing. They continue to go the extra mile. The art auction on April 27th, 2024 was a night to remember. So many beautiful art pieces made by every class in the school. Lakewood has created a lifelong community for all of the children and parents. I;m beyond thankful for everything they've done for my two daughters over the years. They;re the #1 Montessori School in Idaho by far.

We cannot adequately put into words how much we LOVED Lakewood Montessori! Our daughter started there when she was 17 months old and continued until she was three and a half. She is a naturally curious child and her education at Lakewood was beyond our expectations! She grew by leaps and bounds at this school. Her language skills, confidence, curiosity, and willingness to try new and more challenging tasks all grew exponentially. She is now in pre-k and her teachers have already commented on how far ahead she is in most every area of her new curriculum. We cannot thank the staff at Lakewood Montessori enough for all they did to help teach and nurture our daughter! If our work schedules had not changed (and if we didn't have a 45-minute, one-way commute every day), we would never have left! If you're looking for a smaller school that has the staffing to give your child one-on-one attention, who will cherish your child and work tirelessly to see them succeed, then Lakewood Montessori is the place for you!

We had the wonderful experience of placing all three of our boys into Lakewood Montessori. They were wonderful in helping raise curious boys excited about learning both academics, but also the world around them. I would do it all over again if we could.

We loved our nearly two years at Lakewood. Our son started in the toddler rooms where he immediately flourished with the structure and independence. In the children’s house, he made strong friendships and learned and explored at his own pace. I often joked that my son’s teachers were like other parents. They collaborated and supported us through every hurdle, celebration, and change that life and toddlerhood brought our way. We also loved the nature and art aspects that staff and the environment brought to the classroom. Our son rarely came home clean and I think he was happier for it.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Lakewood. Every educator here showered our child with love, support, and nurturance. My child was not only guided in traditional lessons (e.g., sounding out words, letter recognition, math concepts), but life skills (e.g., crocheting, sweeping and cleaning, and gardening). The staff at Lakewood work so hard to make this a magical place to learn and it absolutely shows. I really appreciated Mary and Karen (the directors) transparency around physical and health safety protocols. My child has now transitioned to traditional kinder but everyday she still asks for her "old school" and her teachers Miss Xandra and Miss Madison. We can't thank you enough for the past 2 years, Lakewood. You are a shining example of an enriching early childhood education experience.
