International Montessori Spanish Immersion

My four-year-old has attended IMSI for over a year, and my six-year-old attended summer camp there. I cannot recommend this school enough. The director and staff are incredibly loving, patient, communicative and supportive. They are so sweet with the kids, while providing loving structure and routine. My kids have picked up so much Spanish, and understand everything said to them in Spanish. My older child attends a dual language program but really furthered her Spanish over the summer at camp. Besides the amazing staff, there is a beautiful community of families and there are regular community potlucks and events. The school is immaculately clean and beautiful, organized and calm. It is a true Montessori curriculum and setup. The app they use for checking in and paying tuition and sending messages is great, and they provide daily updates with photos and the nap times. For my job I have to go to daycare centers and schools all over central Texas, and I can say that by far the best school I have seen is International Montessori!

We had our daughter in this school for almost a year, it was her first experience at a daycare and we were nervous, but our daughter was the happiest when attending IMSI. All the staff is very loving and nurturing, creating an environment where she felt safe, loved and cared for. We recently had to change schools because of our commuting times, but it is with heavy hearts we say bye and thank you to IMSI! You are all amazing! Gracias!!!

I can’t say enough good things about International Montessori Spanish Immersion!! My daughter has loved going to this school everyday and has learned so much Spanish in just a short period of time! We knew this was a great program for her because of the small classes, educational philosophy, exciting outdoor play area, and the opportunity to be bilingual from a young age. The Brightweel app used for communication with parents and checking in/out is really convenient and easy to use. Parking for drop off and pick up can be a little tricky if you have a large vehicle like me but it is manageable! Our family is devastated to be moving away from the area because we love this school!! Myriam, the director, has been wonderful throughout our time before, during, and after having our daughter enrolled at this school. She is great to communicate with and it is apparent how passionate she is about her work. Same with the teachers - it is easy to see how much genuine love and care they put into their work with the children every day. As sad as we are to leave, we are so grateful for the time we have been welcomed into the IMSI family!!!

My children had a wonderful experience at International Montessori Spanish Immersion. Ms.Myriam is a great teacher and human being. She is caring, empathic, and very much in tuned with my children's needs. My child liked going to school and would ask to be picked up late because he was having so much fun. This was a huge improvement from his previous school when drop offs were so stressful. Furthermore, International Montessori Spanish Immersion is an authentic Montessori Spanish immersion preschools in the Austin.

My daughter has been enrolled for a few months now and she loves it. Myriam and her staff display a high level of competence and have gone out of their way to make sure my daughter has adjusted. My wife is a native spanish speaker and she was a bit worried our daughter would steer away from Spanish, so this was a major reason we enrolled her. Her Spanish has not only improved dramatically, but it's without question her default language. They embrace the Montessori teaching methods which work well for my daughter, and they have a great rotation of interesting and engaging activities and guests. When there are incidents (too be expected with dozens of kids running around) you are kept in the loop as a parent. We also receive daily photos of my daughter which is really awesome. I would recommend this school to anyone.

Myriam and her team at IMSI have been an invaluable part of my son’s education and development for the last 2 years. Their kindness, patience, and thoughtfulness took my socially anxious COVID baby (who couldn’t even sit by other kids at circle time) and turned him into a friendly, outgoing kid who enjoys school and always tries to help others. His Spanish (though he refuses to speak it at home with us 😂) is coming along nicely, and I think it was Myriam’s suggestion for an OT evaluation last year when he started being more aggressive out of nowhere that made the difference. My son was able to work on his body awareness and control and he stopped trying to push/hit within a few weeks. We will be moving onto a longer term Spanish immersion school next year, but we will miss our IMSI family and recommend them highly!

We absolutely love this school! The teachers are so caring, loving, and attentive. It's amazing to see how much our child has grown and learned since attending. He used to be shy and reserved, but now he is confident, talkative, and full of energy. He has made great friends and has really improved his social skills. He even looks forward to going back to school after vacations! Our child is doing so well in Spanish, math, and reading thanks to the wonderful curriculum and Ms Myriam's individualized attention. She is always there to support and guide each child towards their own growth and success. All the teachers here truly care about the children's development and it shows in everything they do. It's comforting to see how well they understand and respond to the children's needs. We don’t have enough words to express how above and beyond our experience has been and highly, highly recommend this school!!

Montessori Internacional was the best decision we could have made in starting a half day program for our beautiful daughter. We fell in love with the charm of the wonderful educators, the expansive playground, and the beautiful and calm classroom environment. It felt like something straight out of a fairytale. Myriam is a real life Snow White—she is such a joy and ray of sunshine and always makes each parent and child feel most welcome. We knew right away that this was the perfect place to take our girl. We entered the waitlist and after 6 months, she qualified for age minimum for program at 18 months and was enrolled. I was very nervous about leaving my baby in someone else’s care for any amount of time. But I must say, if I were to trust anyone else outside of my family, these are the people I trust with her! Our daughter has absolutely flourished and loves going to “school.” In just a short few months, she’s learned so much Spanish and utilizes it functionally in her daily language repertoire. She is excited to go see her friends in the morning, her teacher Miss Jennie, and her class pet—a fish named Rio. :) Miss Jennie has so much compassion for our daughter, and is a pillar in her growth and independence. For that, we are so grateful. Needless to say, Montessori Internacional is an incredible school and we have felt so blessed that our daughter is enrolled in their program. Highly recommend! You won’t be disappointed.
