Immersion Montessori Academy

I am absolutely grateful to Ms. Ana and her team. They are understanding and knowledgeable and take the proper approach to ensure that our son is maximizing his potential during his stage in development. My son is eager to start school every day and is elated to see his teachers greet him at the door every morning. Ms. Ana is communicative and supportive which brings me a piece of mind while I am at work. My son has only been attending this school for a few months and I have already seen an exponential growth in his ability to comprehend, speak and in performing independent tasks. He is sent home with his activities and projects, and I even received his first progress report. This is not your ordinary school or childcare facility. This is a perfect way to start your child's educational journey.

We are extremely happy with the love and care our child has received at Immersion Montessori. The staff is kind, caring and friendly. My child starts the day with a smile and leaves ready to go back the next day. Wonderful teaching staff. The principal, Mrs. Anna, was very nice and accommodating. It was easy to see that she really cares about the children and their success.

If you are looking for a family place where your child can learn, this is the place. My daughter was 2 years old and she was always very happy. She still misses and talks about her teachers.

Where do I even begin? Miss Anna Mercenario is the director of Immersion Montessori Academy and our son has been a student for 6 months. He has just completed his preschool year and we would absolutely recommend this school if you’re unsure if this program is a right for your kid. For the first few weeks, our son struggled with typical social challenges kids face at this age and when my husband and I brought up our concerns, we always felt heard and validated. We were pleased with Miss Anna’s and his teacher’s prompt responsiveness and follow-up on multiple occasions. In the end, my son was able to develop a love for learning and has also begun to integrate Spanish communication at home. It was a steep learning curve since teachers speak Spanish for the majority of the day, but we have seen a vast improvement. Though this place is not the cheapest nor the closest to home (we live in the medical center area), all the efforts were worth it. After extensively researching and touring other local Montessori programs in San Antonio, we felt this place was a perfect fit if you’re looking for more intimate/smaller classes. To speak to this perk, Miss Anna would routinely send my husband and I pictures and videos of the activities our boy would be engaging in at the moment- we loved that! We also appreciated the school’s flexibility in providing a range of schedules that will best suit your family’s needs. Overall, we could not be any happier with this school and are excited to enroll my daughter this Fall. Keep up the good work, IIMA!

My two year old likes the school, he has been going part time for a month and a half. So far, so good. He tells me that he sees his friends there! He is gaining confidence and independence interacting with kids of various ages. I like that the director sends photos every couple weeks showing some of the activities the kids are doing...sorting, crafting, drawing, yoga. Looks like they have fun days. I like that the parent's guide is straightforward and pretty comprehensive. Some changes for COVID precautions, that have been managed well ie. parent's must pick up the kids outside so no watching your kid in class right now, and no meal prep done by the school staff so parents send kids with brown bagged meals and snacks right now.

My kids love this school, its staff and the nurturing environment they provide. The staff is understanding and approachable.
