High quality and caring teachers who take their teaching methodology seriously and believe in the benefits thereof. Completely endorse this school if a montessori approach is what youre seeking for your 2-5 year old.

We have been sending our child to HMS for 2 years now. I must say the journey has been nothing short of "Amazing" because of the "Little things that matter the most". Here is what you can expect: When you enter the premises to drop off your kid, one of the school Directors or Admin staff will always be there to welcome you and your child. The lead teacher or one of the assistant teachers spends 15-30 secs patiently to welcome your child without rushing during drop off.. Also, you'll be surprised that the teachers from neighboring classes might also greet you with a wave and "Hi", "Hello", "Good Morning". This happens every single day for the entire academic year. The curriculum is really good where your child learns at his / her own pace. The teachers are extremely patient with the kids. HMS is truly a community where your involvement as a parent doesn't stop beyond pick-up and drop offs, there are a LOT of opportunities for parents to be involved as well and experience what it is like for a "Day in a life at HMS". For instance: We have book reading once every week, there is a concept of "Open Classroom" where parents can come and spend 30 mins with their child in class to do an activity they like, there are events for Halloween, Easter Egg Hunt, Diwali, Holi, Eid, Passover, High-Tea and so on where parents can support the lead and assistant teacher with organizing arts and crafts, games etc. For older kids they have cookie or lemonade sales which teaches them real life math solving and people interaction skills. We were impressed seeing some 4-5 year olds do the Math when parents handed them some $$. There is a parents-teachers conference twice in a year where you get a detailed academic report and an in-person meeting where the lead teacher walks you through the child's progress. You will soon see a drastic change in your kids temperament, composure and behavior primarily due to the values taught in class, the friendships they form where they learn to not only share but also manage conflicts diplomatically. Each kid in our child class turned out to be a resilient, independent and mature Montessorian and we are truly grateful for HMS and its community of teachers, staff and leadership. Thank you HMS!

Sending our son to Hoboken Montessori School has been our best decision! My son went to toddler class & summer camp. We're so impressed with the school, curriculum and most of all: the teachers, assistants & staff! What makes this school very unique is that the entire staff, all teachers are incredibly dedicated, loving and caring. They treat your child as if they are their own, they truly care and make sure kids are learning, healthy and happy there. I'm always pleasantly surprised when a teacher from an other class greets my son by name. Our son goes to school happily every day, doesn't even look back when he rushes into the classroom, which is the ultimate sign for me that he's getting the best possible care and love! Thank you so much to the entire HMS team for the great experience we have had here!

HMS is the only true Montessori school in Hoboken and my kids both learned incredibly valuable social and academic skills. They also formed many strong friendships. There is a lovely community of families, administrators, teachers and assistants.

My two-year-old son absolutely loves Hoboken Montessori School! The staff is incredibly caring and attentive, creating a warm and nurturing environment for young learners. The Montessori approach fosters independence and curiosity, and I've seen my son thrive as he explores and learns through hands-on experiences. The facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained, providing a perfect setting for early childhood education. I highly recommend this school to any parent looking for a supportive and enriching learning environment for their little ones.

HMS is a true Montessori practice where everything is centered around providing the ability to solve a problem. We are very happy with the transition of our child- the teachers have put in utmost care and effort. And the results are visible through his development. The administration is extremely responsive and accountable. Our class teacher Miss Gen is fabulous- so sincere, attentive, focused on academics and soft skills and most importantly brings a bright happy energy in the class!

We started our son in school this academic year and we have nothing but wonderful things to say about the school. The teachers are incredibly warm and experienced, and everything from the classroom layout to the daily schedule is intentional and educational. Whenever we pick our son up from school he says "When am I coming back to school?" He has been to other schools and we can see that he feels most comfortable and supported here. Teachers and staff are all very responsible, responsive and kind and we really feel like my kid is in great hands when we leave our kid there every morning.

Incredibly warm, nurturing learning environment for kids. I was anxious starting in a new school at age 4 but he wakes up wanting to go to school everyday since his first week. They have a very well thought through, intentional program fostering independence and growth. We love Ms. Houria! Wish we had started there earlier. Highly recommend.

HMS has provided a really wonderful first school experience not only for our son, but for my husband and me. The care and attention they give to each child is wonderful and the communication we receive about what’s happening day to day makes us feel supported and connected. We’re looking forward to year 2 at HMS!
