Guidepost Montessori at Leawood

Our children attend Guidepost, and the school has been tremendous for our children. The staff is so kind and courteous and always makes us feel welcome. Our children love the staff, and the facility is always so clean and well kept. The curriculum is well organized, provides great opportunity for advancement, and is excellent as we have noticed great advancement. The school has helped our children advance their educational skills, and we feel very content with our experience at this point. The addition of Tammy as head of school and Kelsy as assistant head of school this past year has really propelled the school to a new level of excellence and always is so kind and courteous to all. We love Guidepost and wanted to share our experience as we hope others can experience the same!

My daughter recently started at Guidepost in the young toddler room. After coming from a less than desired daycare experience, it is so nice to have my daughter in the hands of people who are nurturing, keep her engaged, and are willing to accommodate her needs at a year old. Maddy, one of the lead teachers, went above and beyond to make my daughter comfortable on her first two days at Guidepost. She accommodated her napping needs, and on the second day picked up on her sleep ques in order to have her take an extra nap which helped her to have a better day overall. Tammy, the head of school, is also great. She seems eager to make positive changes at the school and has been honest and transparent during the enrollment process. Thank you to all the staff at Guidepost for all you do! Your efforts are noticed and appreciated.

Our daughter has been in the toddler classroom at Guidepost Leawood since May, and we couldn’t be happier with the care she has received and the progress she’s made during this time. She looks forward to going to school every day and has formed wonderful bonds with many of the teachers/guides. The structure and curriculum have been a perfect fit for her personality. Although we’ve experienced some staff turnover, we’ve been impressed with the communication from the administration team. The other teachers have stepped in seamlessly to provide consistency during transitions, and we have been particularly grateful for the support from Allison and Emma, as well as our new Lead Guide (Mackenzie), who is fantastic! We feel incredibly fortunate to have a trustworthy environment for our daughter and are excited for our son to start in the Nido classroom next year!

While being employed at Guidepost Montessori there have been significant changes and differences that I have seen throughout the school. Ms. Tammy and Ms. Kelsy have both made amazing changes with the school, from new playground equipment, constant support, staff moral, and much more. I feel grateful to be able to come to work everyday and be surrounded by coworkers that are all there for the same purposes, providing the best care for our students.

The school has a dedicated staff. The leadership has really transformed the school from the bottom up. The environments are beautiful, the culture is supportive and the Montessori approach is strong. Highly recommend!

I absolutely love working here! since mrs.tammy has been here i’ve noticed such an improvement in my work environment and colleagues around me.

I have been employed with guidepost Montessori in Leawood for 3 months now. From the moment I got here, the management was taking great strides into improving the schools environment and strengthening relationships with our families. I truly feel like in the time I’ve been here, every day feels more and more like home. Our families are amazing, the staff is amazing, and the children that we work with every day are Exceptional. I consider myself lucky to have the opportunity to work here although there has been great improvement, I know that nothing is perfect, and we can always continue to improve!
