Guidepost. There's so many good things I could say. Firstly, with this being my second Montessori school that I've worked at, I'm able to see similarities and differences between the two. Guidepost hands down have my vote! I really appreciate that this company allows their teachers to grow. As a Lead Guide, you're offered essentially the offer of a lifetime. Coming from being a teacher's assistant where my growth was stunted, and able to come here, and be offered to become a Prepared Montessorian is a blessing! I'm more than grateful for the opportunity that Guidepost has given me! I love how upfront, caring, honest, attentive, and protective my Director and Assistant Director are. I know that any question that I may have, they have an answer. I feel as though with a lot of different child care places I have worked, this is the only one that actually makes me feel wanted, appreciated, and seen. I enjoy coming to work because I know that the team we have is strong and dependable! Overall, I would recommend families to come here. I actually have and will continue to! Thank you so much Guidepost Montessori for this life-changing experience!

Embracing the Montessori Philosophy: A Transformational Journey in Education As a parent deeply dissatisfied with the rigidity and one-size-fits-all approach of public schools, discovering Guidepost Montessori School has been nothing short of a revelation. The Montessori philosophy, with its emphasis on individualized learning, self-directed exploration, and nurturing the holistic development of each child, resonates deeply with my values as a parent. From the moment my children stepped into Guidepost Montessori, I witnessed a profound shift in their engagement with learning. Gone were the days of conformity; instead, they were encouraged to follow their curiosity, pursue their passions, and learn at their own pace. The staff at Guidepost Montessori embody grace and forgiveness, fostering an environment where mistakes are seen as opportunities for growth and exploration. What truly sets Guidepost Montessori apart is its unwavering commitment to the well-being and flourishing of every child. The staff go above and beyond to understand each child's unique strengths, challenges, and interests, tailoring their approach to ensure that every child receives the support and guidance they need to thrive. Since enrolling my children at Guidepost Montessori, my outlook towards education has undergone a profound transformation. I no longer see education as a rigid system to be navigated, but as a journey of discovery and self-realization. I am deeply grateful to the staff at Guidepost Montessori for their dedication, compassion, and unwavering belief in the potential of every child. If you're seeking an education that values individuality, fosters creativity, and nurtures a love of learning, look no further than Guidepost Montessori School.

I truly want to thank this community from the bottom of my heart. We sent both of our children here starting when they were 3 years old and 18 months old. My 3 year old is now 3.5 years old and is non-verbal with additional needs. The entire staff, not just the guides/teachers in my eldest's classroom, went above and beyond to ensure both of our children were receiving individualized and child specific education that was most appropriate for them. They worked incredibly well with us having to take our eldest child out of class 1x/week every week for his private speech therapy appointments. My eldest's lead guide/teacher and the head of the school had set up weekly meetings with me to set weekly targets/goals for my eldest child. They even went as far as to develop and implement an individualized/personalized picture communication system for my eldest in order to help him thrive in the classroom. They provided my child a voice in the classroom when he doesn't vocally have one. This community also has provided significant support not just simply on the education side but also on the parenting side. The term "it takes a village" definitely applies, this community has been a huge part of my village. Guidepost Montessori at Laurel Oak is far from simply childcare, they were a huge part in the raising of my children and I will forever been grateful for them. Both of my children are vastly different and at Guidepost Montessori at Laurel Oak the entire staff made my entire family feel welcomed, cared for, and loved. I highly recommend this community! As a parent of a neurotypical 2 year old now and a neurodivergent and non-verbal 3.5 year old, I felt as though both of my children were equally provided the best individualized learning environment. My 3.5 year old is now being evaluated through our local school district to provide him with the skilled services he requires or else we would still have our eldest in this community. I highly recommend Guidepost Montessori at Laurel Oak!!!!!

When we first started at Guidepost in 2020 we had the best experience and recommended it to everyone. Small class sizes, teachers who cared about our kids as if they were their own, and a dedication to the Montessori method of learning. Unfortunately, things have changed drastically, and it just isn't the same place it used to be. Communication between staff and parents is poor, the commitment to Montessori learning doesn't take priority, the class sizes for the 3 to 6-year-old rooms (Children's House) are enormous, and the staff aren't properly trained to implement extra accommodations like sensory diets and specialized listening environments. The staff are also ill-equipped to work with children exhibiting "behavioral" issues related to ADHD or other yet-to-be diagnosed challenges. Due to the deteriorating quality of the school, I would not recommend sending any child here, and especially not one that might need a little extra attention or accommodation. It's such a shame and breaks my heart that the place we loved so much has become what it is now.
