Guidepost Montessori at Brooklyn Heights

My son started at guidepost in July 2024. He absolutely loves it and was comfortable since day 1 which says a lot for him. I have seen a noticeable improvement in his confidence and academics. I love hearing about what he learns everyday and the mindful way in which he learns. I am incredibly grateful to the entire staff at this school. It’s very clear how much they love the children and community.

My daughter has been attending the school for two months now and we couldn’t be happier. She is in the elementary classroom and thriving. The guides and the administration teams have been phenomenal with updates and communication. The curriculum focuses on inspiring the child and have them take the lead in seeking the knowledge. Last week she received a lesson on the coins and she decided to make a whole PPT presentation for the whole class about coins and she coupled that with a work sheet that she drafted for each child. As a parent, I was impressed with what a 9 years old can do on a Montessori environment. Also, I was so relieved when I learnt they do language and Math assessments to make sure each child is progressing according to their grade level. Also, the fact that the school offers extended care was extremely helpful for me as a working parent. Each single staff member I interacted with was extremely professional and deeply care about the wellbeing of each student. Enroll your child in this school and you’ll never regret the decision.

While temporarily living in New York, my children had the pleasure of attending Guidepost in Brooklyn Heights. My two boys enjoyed their time in the Children’s House. The transparent classroom is a different approach than other schools and we were able to follow our children’s weekly lessons and see great progress. Would definitely recommend. Our four year old son join this amazing school about one year ago, we are absolutely satisfied and happy with the whole team of teachers and school director. Their classes are always fun and educational. School is basically open the whole year from early morning till the evening.
