Global Montessori School of Westwood

Global Montessori is a fantastic preschool. it is in a small private house on a residential street in Westwood, and it is very safe because it is not in a high traffic or public area. My neighbor’s children attended preschool here, and I watched them every day coming out happy and excited as I walked my dog by. I would definitely check them out if you’re not looking for a big, corporate environment for preschool.

Two of my children have attended this school with great success. The teachers provide a loving and supportive environment for the kids to grow and learn each day. The love of learning is a value that the teachers instilled in both of my children. They look forward to school everyday and see it as a positive adventure. Also, the school is extremely clean, the staff is kind both to parents and kids, and the curriculum is amazing. My kids were able to identify everything from planets to continents by age 3. They also teach social skills and values, communication skills, arts, and so much more. Often when I visit the school I secretly wish I was a preschooler again so that I could be a student!

I have noticed the positive changes in my child since she's been in this school. She has thrived from a shy wallflower that drew all day long to a self-directed student and a confident leader who finds joy in learning. The curriculum is strong and covers various subjects, from astronomy,nature, world cultures, music, gym, reading, math and etc. Furthermore, the breadth of the curriculum has motivated my child to be more curious about the world around her. The student body is small yet diverse which provides my child a wonderful opportunity to practice her social skills with kids of different ages and backgrounds. I am very satisfied with the well-rounded education that she has been receiving from this school. The director (Mrs. A) and the assistant teacher (Mrs. D) are true Montessori practitioners that let the children be the leader of their own learning and self-discovery. I highly recommend Global Montessori School.
