My son has been coming here since he was 2. The teachers are kind, caring and loving! They teach them alot. They are very attentive to the children and when parents bring up issues. He just turned 5 and is reading. Love this place!

My 3 and 5 year old daughters have attended MCA for a little over a year now and I am very pleased with the school. Both my girls are always excited to get to school every morning and sometimes they just don't want to leave. They love their teachers, greeting them and leaving them with hugs daily which speaks volumes to me. The school will heat their lunch for them so they have a lot of options for lunch. My daughter in middle school gets jealous because of her limited "cold" lunches. Summers are full of fun with weekly water play and special activities. Their Halloween parade and Christmas program are the highlights in my book. As far as learning goes, my 5 year old can name continents, planets, oceans, months of the year (in English and Spanish), days of the week (in English and Spanish), letters (lower-case/upper-case) of the alphabet and corresponding sounds, seasons and is already beginning to read - all thanks to Montessori Children's Academie.

Both of my boys attended here and loved it so much! They both were very quiet but thrived here the teachers are great the summer program is full of fun and made me very happy to know that while i was at work they were having fun! They both went to kindergarten here and were ahead when they entered 1st grade. I now have my third child who is 17 months and am looking forward to him attending :-)

I'm not surprised when Nina said she could take my child right away. I mean this is not really a preschool. Its like 30-40 children crammed into one classroom, on one rug. You cant tell who is who. they are very loud and I don't see my child thriving in this type of unruly environment. They play outside three times a day. Is there anything else that they do besides play. Also the classroom toys were very dusty and dirty, like it hasn't been cleaned or touched in a hundred years. I didn't see any educational or Montessori toys or learning materials. Don't be excited when they have an open spot for your child, that's not really a good sign and don't be fooled by the cheap prices either.

I saw this school and didn't see anything great. the kids just play all day. the lady was nice but very vague about the school info. i saw some things that i didn't like, so i did some research about this place. clueless parents. this school has cited violations and this information is available to the public. i also checked with the Montessori accreditation and they are not accredited like she stated she was.

I would highly recommend this pre-school for so many reasons. My first son started going there after I had gone to look at a hand-full of other ones. This place was able to start my son within one week. I love the fact that here, they will warm up your kids food (surprisingly 3/5 other places would not do it) plus they provide milk, juice, and small snacks if you forget something for you child. Another big perk is the fact that they will accept your child even if they are not potty trained but they do have to be 2 years old. My 2 boys were potty trained by the time they were 2 but this may be very helpful for other parents. My first son graduated from the kindergarten class and he knew how to count to 100, by one, 2's, 5's, 10's, and 20's. He had also learned how to read but of course we also helped at home. He had also learned his planets, continents and how to spell each day of the week and the months. My husband and I were so impressed with everything and everyone that we started our younger son when he was 2 years old too and he loves it too. They also have a great, fun, summer program! My children are my priority and the fact that they sometimes don't want to leave when I go pick them up speaks volumes to me. Every child cries the first few days when they are left at a new place and mine were no exception but they were always re-assured with hugs :)

I have two children attend preschool at different times. When my daughter was in preschool we attended another local preschool. When my son was born, I interviewed almost ever preschool in Burbank and was pleasantly surprised at what I found at MCA. The director and her staff are wonderful. They are very loving to the children. The school is very clean. The classroom atmosphere is very positive and the children are challenged everyday academically. The summer program is wonderful and at no extra charge to the families. My son will attend Kindergarten at a BUSD school this fall and has already been tested by the new school for placement. He passed the placement test with flying colors and is more than ready to start in the fall. I attribute most of that to MCA and the teaching staff. We are going to miss everyone when we leave.
