This school has been such a wonderful school for my family and children. Their COVID protocols and testing has been so organized and thorough and has put us at ease during these tough times. The academics at school have been wonderful for both of my children. The teachers are so engaged and kind and They are the reason our kids are so excited each day. The photos that their teachers send show how engaged they are in their classroom and with their work. The administration is so responsive and organized so whenever we need something they are just an email or phone call away. The grounds are beautiful and we love the schools commitment to spending time outdoors all year long. Truly, Gladwyne Montessori has got it all together and we feel lucky our children have been a part of the community.

We absolutely love Gladwyne Montessori. Admittedly, I wasn’t very familiar with the Montessori way of learning prior to our experience at the school but after watching how my son flourished in these first 6 months I can say we are true believers. He is confident, determined and independent in the most kind and polite way. It’s is the sweetest school and community. Every teacher and staff member is involved and engaged; everyone knows my son by name. It’s hard sending your little ones away to school for the first time but at Gladwyne I felt supported and know my son was in great hands.

I joined the Gladwyne Montessori community six years ago and have had all three of our sons attend. My boys wake up every day and literally bounce out of our car excited to get into their classrooms and begin their work. My sons love to learn and have never seen school work as a drag, but instead they are thrilled to get their hands on the materials, until they master it, and then move on to another appropriate "work". The entire environment is created by caring and thoughtful teachers to allow their students to succeed and work at their own level and pace. My sons attend Gladwyne Montessori because I know they will be met by teachers whose main goal is to understand their students' needs. I did not grow up on the Main Line, but I have met and volunteered with many hardworking moms (both inside and outside of the house) at GMS, who have become some of my closest friends. Due to the three year cycle, each student has their teacher for three years in a row. This not only allows the teacher/student relationship to be strong, but helps students better adjust to school each year. They have observed older students completing their work and are not only prepared to begin it themselves, but are so thrilled to do so. This is most helpful when starting kindergarten- Instead of being nervous or unsure of what is expected of them, they feel excited and comfortable in the environment. I cannot say enough good things about this school. I suggest taking a tour and see it for yourself!

My children went to Gladwyne Montessori for 10 years each and it has been the best educational start we could have hoped for. They have developed a strong sense of self, great work habits, respectful interactions with adults and peers, and yes, a love of learning. Transitioning into the traditional classroom was not an issue and intellectually they were very well prepared. At the heart of the school are the Montessori teaching method at its best and the excellent teachers.

My family and I have had a wonderful experience at GMS. It has provided a nurturing, academic environment for both of my children. It has become a strong part of our community. It brought out the absolute best in both of my children

This school is a Gem - creates a joy of learning, a passion for curiosity, peacemakers and "out-of-the-box" thinkers. Most children are way ahead in subjects, plus they love school! I had little understanding of Montessori in the beginning.... now realizing it's the most hands-on/effective way to learn key life and academic skills. GMS' individualized, highly-integrative and multi-age environment is really the key and they have been executing this "21st Century" style of education for over 50 years. Plus, the teachers are really amazing and so caring, encouraging you to join the school's "family". Wish we hadn't succumbed to the Main Line attitude/brain washing that entering a bigger/elite school earlier was better.... absolutely not true.... plenty of time for these competitive social, academics & athletic cultures when your child is psychologically ready/matured. Plus, our kids almost always get their first choices on schools when moving on. It's no secret our students go on to great academic, leadership and athletic achievements in high school....its the GMS fingerprint.
