Fishtown Montessori

Fishtown Montessori is the gift that keeps giving. Our daughter started at 18 months and now is in her second year. She is kind, thoughtful, and curious. The teachers have helped her blossom into her amazing personality. They are the most trustful team and we are thankful for them everyday.

What an absolute joy it is to have our child in the Fishtown Montessori community. They give the absolute best care and education to their students. Teachers are amazing people. Denise is an inspirational leader and is ready to answer all our questions with kindness and consideration. We love Fishtown Montessori!

This school runs like a business. The principal, Miss Denise, promised to have a spot for my kid. I was very concerned about finding a daycare for my kid, and I shared how I felt. She requested to pay a registration fee. I made the payment with peace of mind since she comforted me that my kid would be in their school when we moved to Philly. We attended the school's open house online. Since we lived in Missouri, we would do the face-to-face school visit when we moved. She accepted our request. After a while, she did not return to me even though I emailed her about the registration several times. Though I called the school and sent a voicemail, there was absolutely no return. A couple of days later, she reported that the registration at the school was complete, and there was no place left. In short, I expect promises from a school to be kept. School is not a business place.

Great Montessori Program! We have loved our time with Fishtown Montessori and our son is thriving! Ms Denise has built a truly beautiful center for growth and learning. They have great communication, community and impeccable teachers!! Big shout out to Ms Lauren, Ms Sasha, Ms Sam, Ms Katie and all the rest!! Thank you for all your work and love of our kiddos!

We are so grateful and appreciative of the administration team as well as the teachers at Fishtown Montessori. The Head of school is thoughtful and proactive in engaging with parents, effectively clearing the path for the teachers to focus on doing the good work with children. The teachers are not only knowledgeable and professional, but also warm and gentle. My 3 year old child adores the teachers and I can tell that she feels safe and loved. She learns everyday to be a more considerate and communicative human being. It truly feels like a partnership in enriching my child's development.

We cannot say enough good things about Fishtown Montessori! Our two year old daughter started there in September and we are so glad she did. She has grown so much this year, and is becoming more independent, more confident, and able to express big feelings that some adults have trouble expressing! Her teacher Ms. Katie is absolutely amazing, and may the best teacher my daughter will ever have! The communication and transparency from Ms. Denise and all the teachers is outstanding, and something I felt was missing from previous childcare experiences. They have extensive COVID protocols in place and truly put the safety of the community first, which is so appreciated in these strange times. The curriculum is beautiful, the classrooms are beautiful, the building is beautiful, and it is such a lovely atmosphere all around. I am so glad to be a part of such a special community who shares the same values that we do as parents. Positive Communication, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Sending our daughter to Fishtown Montessori has been a wonderful decision. Her Elementary school here in Cherry Hill NJ did not fully open this fall because of covid and we wanted her to have a proper year of kindergarten. After looking around at a couple of other options we felt that Fishtown Montessori was the best place, and we couldn't be happier with that decision. I feel that she is learning so much more than I had even expected and comes home everyday with a new and fun project that demonstrates what they had been working on that day. I am really impressed with the safety standards they have in place for the kids during these trying times and it just gives us that added extra piece of mind knowing our daughter is safe and cared for. Not being able to have her start school where we moved to was disappointing at first but now that she is where she is and seeing her flourish in her education has been such a blessing.

My husband and I are so happy we made the choice to send our 5 yr old here. With the pandemic happening she wasn’t able to start school near our home in New Jersey . We decided that it was important that our daughter was still able to have a in person education so we decided to send her to Fishtown Montessori. Their covid policies have helped us feel safe while still allowing our daughter to be around other children . We couldn’t be happier with how much she has learned and grown . She has become so much more independent. Her reading , writing and math skills have excelled . She has grown and changed so much within this school year. Our daughter has always begged to stay home and disliked other early learning centers however she loves going to school here. She adores her teachers and has even made a best friend . Our only sadness is that this will be her last year here because she will be going into first grade next year. I can’t say enough great things about this school and it’s teachers .
