Ancona Montessori School

I worked here and the parents were very fond of me and my class. The toddlers would walk pass looking in my class because they loved it as well as the parents. Due to unprofessional and unfair treatment, I was fired for stating an opinion that the director took personally. She assured to me that I was a great asset only to later fire me. It was Mother's day week and the gifts and cards that was gifted to me by the parents, Kathy kept. I wanted to retrieve my belongings and she stated that they would be mailed. This was ridiculous to me. She proved me right. (Unprofessional) I also didn't like how she spoke of children who she says came in dirty everyday. They were NOT dirty they had runny noses like children do. The gossip about family, children, and staff was unnecessary.

My twins started here at 15 months and we couldn’t be happier. I drop them off with confidence knowing my twins in good hands, cared for and loved.

Our son attended this school for about 5-6 months. He was in the 5-year-old room. They school is not willing to try any other methods besides the ones they have "always used." These methods seem to be things like taking away show and tell for bad behavior and then letting the "good" kids vote on Friday to see if the "bad" kids can participate. My child also came home on more than one occasion telling us he got a "C" for the day, the teacher was publicly grading each student's day. They often punished for bad behavior and never acknowledged good behavior. Their main form of communication with parents was through text, which is unprofessional and can come across with a rude tone. Our son was kicked out via an unprofessional and rambling email from the director.

We are having a wonderful experience at this daycare/school. The director, teachers and all of the staff have been been wonderful to our daughter.

Staff and director are really caring. My son started when he was 1.5 years and is now over 2. The school and teachers helped him get comfortable and enjoy playing with multiple other children. Now he has so many fun and cute stories about his friends at school and teachers and enjoys going to school. I would definitely recommend.
