Echoes Montessori

The support we received from Echoes staff, from the front desk, to the educators and the directors have been nothing short of exceptional. Bubs started attending Echoes since 6mths and the staff so gently and kindly introduce him to the bottle, which he refused at home. The fact that we have to prepare our own meals turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as bubs turned out to have a few allergies. The centre also prepared a risk management plan and alerted us when bub's epipen is expiring. We used to pack our own nappies but they are now provided at the centre. This working first time mama is so thankful for all the Echoes staff. I could return to work knowing that bubs is in good, capable hands. Every week, we receive a thoughtfully written update on bubs' development and learning moment - I am always delighted by them. I also love how the centre is purpose built with lovely, nurturing environment and it's intergenerational program is such a great idea. I really wish more centers would follow this model :) My only bone to pick is their long Christmas/NY closure, usually about 4 weeks. But I also get it. This is a very tough job and adequate rest is important to prevent burnout. Keep up the amazing work, team Echoes! Edit: The educarer to child ratio here is also better than national average (1:3 vs 1:4 for bubs' age group).

Two of our children attended Echoes Montessori in 2022-2023. The place is absolutely stunning and the educators are really nice. Their intergenerational program is wonderful and I love how the kids have access to real sinks, fridges and dishwashers. They don't need a "play kitchen", they learn how to use the real one straight away. The biggest downside is the lack of a full cooked meal - i'd much rather have a chef make nutritious meals for my kids at that age. Plenty of time for lunchboxes later. I also wasn't a fan of the BYO nappy system, but not a huge deal, more of a hassle to remember to pack and label them. Overall, highly recommended - both our kids loved going to Echoes.
