Stepping Stone School - Hyde Park

We were only here for a short time because we moved, but we LOVED it. Ms. Cotton and her staff are superb!

My 4-month-old son is always happy when we drop him off at Stepping Stone Hyde Park. This morning he was smiling & reaching to be held by his teacher. The principal, Denise, and the infant teachers are wonderful. My son has learned a lot in their care. It gives me peace of mind to see him so happy at drop off! I appreciate that the teachers use the Tadpoles app on the iPads to track feeding, naps, diaper changes & send us pictures. The app is very helpful to know how his day went and when to feed him at home once we pick him up. I drop my son off late, but when I do, the other babies in his class are happily playing with a variety of toys, napping, or being fed. My son loves their soft books so I need to buy some for him to play with at home.

While visiting this Stepping Stone location, I witnessed a Children’s House teacher yank children from their wrists & arms because they were one step off from standing in a straight line. Only 2-3 bikes available for 15+ children, with no other materials/toys provided for them to engage with during outside time. The children were clinging onto the fence to watch street traffic because of lack of stimulation, while the teacher sat down and was on the iPad.

My daughter has been attending stepping stone school for about a month now. She is delayed in speech and socially withdrawn from children her age. She receives speech and occupational therapy. Her therapist do provide their services there with her at the school. Since enrolling her at Stepping Stone Hyde Park she is now finally saying 2 word sentences and playing with other children! She is no longer withdrawn and no longer just pointing at what she wants she is finally talking! Thank you ms. Akayla, Ms. Alicia and Ms. Diane for working with her and teaching her how to count and how to initiate conversation with her friends! She has grown so much both in her speech and socially! Thank you Ms Robyn for always being so helpful! ❤️

We are so happy with our choice in sending our daughter to school here. My husband and I both work full time, and it was really difficult to drop her off at around 3 months old when I returned to work from maternity leave. This school has been a dream come true. Our daughter has been attending for nearly a year and a half, and all of her teachers have been great. Promoting Jessica to a leader of the school was an excellent choice. While all of the teachers have been great, I know our daughter is well taken care with Jessica close by. We really like all of the teachers and have seen our daughter develop real life skills from her school. Food is also included, which is very convenient. Would definitely recommend.

We started our son at Stepping Stone Hyde Park this spring at 18 months and have been very happy there. I know it's an enormous task for the teachers to keep up, but the daily reports, photos, and videos through the Tadpoles app are awesome (assures us he's having a good time) and helpful when we settle into our evening routine at home. Another big selling point for us was that they provide snacks and lunch -- a godsend for working parents. It's so fun to notice all the new things he's learned every day (words, motor skills, holiday customs, life skills) because of being there.

Teachers take interest in the children and are very attentive to their needs.

The teachers are really nice. Our daughter enjoys her time here.
