Our son has been attending RiverRun for a year now and our experience has been very positive. The rooms are always clean and organized. The playground area is well maintained and has plenty of space for kids to play. Thanks to the talented and caring teachers, our son has flourished academically and socially. The teachers pay close attention to each and every child, skillfully guiding them on their learning path. Any updates regarding our child’s needs and achievements are consistently provided. The school maintains strong communication, ensuring everyone is always on the same page. Another great aspect of being a part of the RiverRun family is the community. The school hosts various events where parents and children participate. Overall, we are very satisfied and happy with RiverRun, for providing safe, engaging, and fun learning environment and experience.

RiverRun Montessori provided a great experience for my daughter from age 3 in Primary with Maureen through age 8 in Lower Elementary with Amy and Karen. She transferred to public school in 4th grade after her Lower Elementary cycle was finished. Her transfer was seamless and she has excelled in her 4th grade class. The academics easily transferred to the common core teachings used in public school. She was exactly where she needed to be academically without ever having homework or testing previously, proving to me the Montessori method works! She is socially fluent and mature which I credit much to the close eye kept at RiverRun on social development and the peace curriculum. RiverRun is very hands on for parents and relies on volunteerism and fundraising as part of its daily running and bottom line. It was nice to be able to be so involved with the school.

Words cannot say enough! We love RiverRun---from the strong community, child-centered Montessori approach, immensely talented teachers, nature programming, annual all-school plays... to the good friends and support that our family gains from the RiverRun community every day. Our girls have flourished at RiverRun and we look forward a wonderful 5th year.

Our daughter has gone to RiverRun for a year and a half. We struggled for a while to find the right school for her, and RiverRun has been a perfect fit. The teachers and community are great. We like it so much we are planning on sending our younger daughter there as well.

Our daughter just finished her first year at RiverRun and we couldn't be happier with the school. It's truly a community of students, teachers, parents, administrative staff and board members all contributing to what the school and students need to be successful. Speaking specifically of our experience in the Primary Class- the teachers, assistants, and staff were all excellent. Such a caring group that was able to devote a lot of one-on-one time and attention to students. We were amazed at our 5 year old coming home with new books she had mastered reading, excited about a math or science project she was working on, or even speaking a few words of Chinese she had learned as part of the foreign language program. Along with music, gym and a lot of time spent outside learning about nature- it would be difficult to find a more well-rounded program. Montessori is a very special method of learning and one that the RiverRun does exceptionally well.

Our daughter had a wonderful introduction to school. She began RiverRun at 3 years old and has flourished. She's learned so much about the world, about how to be a good friend and has grown a curiosity about learning. We couldn't have asked for a better start to her school career.

Brown School would be one of the better schools in the area to look into if you were searching for a welcoming and effective institution to send your child. From personal experience, I can say this school lacks the aspect of organization and leadership. Their procedures and policies are very loose and uncertain. On the employment aspect of this facility, unless you’re really desperate for an income or retired, don’t work here. The pay is little to nothing and the building is not very secure as it is a rented space and your personal belongings are subject to be taken. I had bought in a personal item from home and it was stolen, pretty much leading to an oh well response from the school. Brown School has everything you’d need from summer programs, proper after school programs, a school nurse always on duty, and proper management/staff. Unfortunately, this school lacks severely.

My two children have been at RiverRun since 2014, and our experience has been wonderful. It's a warm community of curious and engaged learners, committed to the Montessori method of child-led pedagogy. The Montessori peace curriculum and an intentional emphasis on social-emotional learning make RiverRun's classrooms not just a place for intellectual exploration and mastery of scholastic skills, but a place where kids learn to negotiate with one another and build consensus to strengthen their classroom communities. And the Montessori commitment to no homework and no testing means our home life is also more peaceful! I'd recommend Montessori in general and RiverRun in particular to any parent looking for an alternative to public or traditional-model private school.

My daughter is finishing her second year at RiverRun, and she loves it! And I love to hear not just how much she is learning, but all the ways that learning is taking place. I highly recommend RiverRun!

I’ve visited this school and It’s not a school I’d send my child to. The building is in a religious building, there is not an adequate amount of staff and they don’t seem to have an idea on how to run a school. If your child has a minor behavior problem, they become the target to be pushed out of the school. Don’t waste your money sending your child here. You’ll be disappointed.
