Prairie Academy

Prairie Academy has been a breath of fresh air for my daughter since we moved to Chicago a couple of years ago. We were not sure which school to choose and when we heard about all that Prairie has to offer - Arabic language + a play based school that promotes values such as kindness and service, we were sold! I feel like my child is treated like an individual whose needs and limitations are catered to, and she's not just one of 30 children in a classroom. The teachers are amazing and class sizes are kept small. Kids are provided with a unique method of learning through play - but touch on complex topics which are broken down with ease - like the other day my daughter said that I sold goods and services at my business - my first grader was learning about markets, goods, services, supply and demand and other such complex economics all through a play based program where the kids had to make something and sell it at a market day at the end of the unit. The kids made goods and raised over $400 for the school! Such important life lessons taught in such a fun way!
