Mount Lebanon Montessori

Our son is 4 years old and he has been going to the 3 to 6 program or Children’s House at the Mount Lebanon Montessori School. Both teachers are experienced and kind while the administration is extremely patient and very responsive in answering all our questions, although we had many questions, as first time parents. Most importantly, our son, has made significant progress in all developmental areas, including counting to 100, puzzle work and has also improved his concentration thanks to this excellent program. Please remember that this school is not a franchise, like many other schools in the area, but a non-profit, and therefore they focus on hiring and retaining the best teachers available. Thank you for providing such high-quality education instead of primarily focusing on maximizing the owner’s pockets, like many franchises in the area do!

Fantastic school. Both of my children attend the academy and are working at significantly higher levels than they would be expected to at public school. The teachers see each child individually and strive to help the children succeed and thrive. My children love going to school and take great pride in their work. The teachers and administration have always been helpful, friendly and prompt in providing support that I or my children need.

All my children attended this school through kindergarten. They loved going to school there and that alone was a huge benefit. They also learned far more than they would have in other programs. Two were so advanced that they skipped first grade in Mt. Lebanon. The structure is dated, but I was more interested in the learning and nurturing environment.

My so is about to start preschool here & everyone has been so helpful!!!

We have our two kids here and could not be happier with their and our experience. The administration is helpful and friendly. The teachers are attentive and nurturing. My kids as a result are confident learners who love going to school every day. We strongly recommend the Montessori method and the Mt Lebanon Montessori school.

The administrator as stated in many other reviews is rude to the students, parents, and prospects. She has zero communication skills. The facility is worn down. Had a student in this school three years and they do very little according to American Montessori Society standards to meet the individual needs of the student.

I simply requested more information about their program because my family and I know nothing about their teaching and their admin director basically said, “ your child isn’t old enough for me to give you info on our school. Good luck with your search?” Wow. How rude. They just lost a potential student I will tell you that.

We love the school. Our daughter is thriving and learning so much more than we experienced in public school. Putting our daughter in this school was the right decision.
