We love the staff and school - the teachers are amazing at all levels! The staff truly love the children and you are treated like family. Our children have flourished in the Montessori environment and we couldn't be happier. Our oldest has grown by leaps and bounds in her five years at MSF and our youngest is about to turn 4 and already doing addition.

The staff and teachers are incredible. Their true loving nature and endless patience are so appreciated. The amount of one on one time has had clear and direct impact on the development and progress of our children. We couldn’t be more happy with this school.

We love MSF! The teachers are amazing! Ms. Ramona had my struggling reader excited about reading and before I knew it he was reading everything he could. My only regret it not finding this school sooner!! My daughter started in primary and was reading and writing before kindergarten. Now she does school work for fun! They love this school and the family atmosphere makes it AMAZING! I can reach out to the teachers anytime, and I truly feel at home here.

This school is a gem! Both my children have benefited tremendously from the meticulous Montessori environment and wonderful teachers at Montessori School of Franklin. The atmosphere is warm and loving, and kids just adore the place. This school has been in the Franklin community for over 20 years and is a true, accredited Montessori school. You will not find a better place anywhere to establish a solid foundation for learning (and life!).

Special needs parents beware. Our son has a condition called apraxia that greatly impacts his ability to speak and moderately impacts his fine and gross motor skills. He can use sign language to make most of his wants and needs know. At 3.5 he is not yet potty trained. He bonds first with adults and then forms attachments with kids. We had heard phenomenal stories of kids with his condition and how they flourished under the Montessori curriculum. But because of his delays, we approached very cautiously. When we toured the Montessori school of Franklin we expressed all of our concerns and our concerns were wonderfully reassured that summer enrollment was lower, giving him more time to adjust. We were told a 3rd adult teacher could be added to the room to meet our son’s needs. Additionally, we were reassured that they could even try him with the 3 different teachers to ensure the best ‘fit’ for his personality and their teaching style and the other kids in the room. We were comforted that most kids took around 6-8 weeks to adjust to Montessori and summer would be the perfect time to transition. We left feeling wonderful, comfortable and confident in our decision to start him here. A week before he started, I took him to meet any teachers there (they were not in school this week so he didn’t get to meet any) and to let him see the building and his classroom. We took him for a half day his first day (and planned for half days the rest of the week). I dropped him off after explaining the signs he knew and a little more about him (how he loved animals, water, that he was a picky eater and any other info I thought would help smooth over his day). When my husband picked him up 4 hours later, he was told that our son’s needs would require adding a 3rd teacher to the room (something we were told was possible in the tour) and that adding a 3rd teacher would change the dynamic in the room and that would was not possible. We were told our son could finish the week (this was Wednesday afternoon) but he could not return after that. So not only were we put in quite a bind with childcare, but somehow after less than 4 hours, on his first day, the determination was made that our son could not adapt/transition. We met with the woman who gave us the tour but no explanation was offered except what I stated above. Seems that they weren’t even willing to give him a try. Just wanted to caution other parents before they made the same mistake we did.

We are finishing our first year here and we are thrilled. All of the teachers and staff are amazing (kind, patient, loving, deeply committed to our son's growth, success and learning- and he is an over the top child making him quite a challenge). From a professional / academic perspective (having 2 masters and a doctorate in education) they the best of the best!
