Our son has been going to MLC of York for 2 years. He has done nothing but thrive. I must admit at the beginning there was inconsistency and things seemed disorganized, however, they hired a new director, Ms Kelly, a few months after we started and things improved tremendously. Our son loves his teachers and school. They have acted appropriately and quickly during an emergency situation with my son which I have been so thankful of.

It's a shame to see negative reviews of this place! Especially when posted with inaccurate information. There is a playground for the kiddos, but with it being more of a 'learning' or school program, they will be inside more which is typical of a standard school environment. While it would be great to spend more time getting personal updates at the end of the day or throughout the day, I also understand and respect that the teacher's jobs are to be with the kids, and I wouldn't want them leaving the classrooms unattended for 5-10 minutes at a time for each kid that gets picked up. I'm also VERY glad that they have the check in/check out procedures and don't let people into the school area as that's a great safety precaution. Overall, it's all about setting realistic expectations, and my child comes home happy every day, is learning at a great pace, and the staff has always been great about responding to questions/concerns through the app, even after hours. I would highly recommend Montessori to anyone.

Our 1.5 year old went here for a total of 5 days and I would never recommend the “Montessori” Learning Center of York to any parent. The place has a severe lack of professionalism. The staff is mostly dressed in pajamas during the day and are not friendly or warm. When asked for details about our child’s day the answers are vague and rushed. Oftentimes we would get different answers from different people. We never could come to trust that our child was okay and safe at “Montessori” Learning Center of York. Also know that there is no playground on site. The kids are kept indoors almost the entire day. Also know that when we came to pick up our child at the end of the day his face and eyes would be red and swollen from crying. One particular afternoon we saw him crying and screaming pulling on the gate while a “teacher” just sat and watched him. I would never recommend this place to any parent. If I could give this place zero stars I would.

My infant attended this daycare for 2 days before I decided to pull him out. I was extremely uncomfortable leaving my child here and was genuinely concerned for his safety. Staff have no knowledge of breast milk storage rules, safe sleep, or safety in general. The feeding instructions I gave for my baby were not followed at all, and he was given old breast milk that I explicitly explained needed to be dumped out if he did not drink it within a certain timeframe. In the app they use to log his daily activities it said he drank 13oz that day but there was only 10oz missing from his bottles. The staff posted photos of my baby laying sideways in a swing, clearly not buckled in. He is old enough and able to roll both directions so this is especially unsafe. They also posted a photo of him sleeping in his crib with a blanket/lovey, which is very unsafe. This is extremely concerning to me as it is clear that the staff does not even have basic knowledge of infant safety. If they are posting photos of children in clearly unsafe conditions, who knows what they are doing that the parents do not know about. You are not able to enter the daycare to pick your child up, you have to check them out in the app and they bring your child to the door which is pretty strange to me. I met the owner on my child’s first day as she opened the door for us, and all she said to us was “Hi”. Did not introduce herself at all, I only know she is the owner due to my own research of the facility. I was told this daycare requires children to have the flu and Covid vaccines which is insane. While my child only attended this facility for 5 days I saw no Montessori elements at all. I’m not sure how this is even a licensed daycare. I have also had multiple issues with payments and billing, and have been overcharged by a lot.. and I have yet to receive a refund several weeks later.

We had a great experience with this school! I have two boys that have spent the last school year going 2-3 days a week. My 2 boys have made so many friends and participated in so many fun activities over that time span. The staff has been very good with communicating and letting us know what is going on (even sending pictures of my boys doing crafts or being outside). My kids love their teachers at Montessori - one even told me he loves them more than his mom 😭, thanks kid. We have definitely loved this school for my kids as their first real daycare and I recommend it to everyone.

Our 2.5 year old absolutely loves going here. He is learning so much. They implemented an app so we get updates daily.

The staff are friendly, understanding, and responsive. They know my child personally and have made individual connections with him. I receive immediate updates on his behavior. Fun activities are planned for the kids and class sizes are small. I would highly recommend this learning center to any of my friends or family. My child attended this school for about a year and officially graduated to further education! This school was fabulous she loved her school, teachers and her friends at school. Every day they would send a report home with detail report of what was learned and shared some notes with me on what to study with my child. The teachers care about these children and their education. The last day of school my child was in tears because my child did not want to leave her teachers. If your looking for a safe place for your child before moving on to further education, look no further! Positive Responsiveness, Reliability, Professionalism

I have two kiddos that have been going to this school for a few months and absolutely love it! We went to another daycare temporarily ( I wont name names) and the boys were not doing well. As soon as we started at the Montessori Learning Center it was evident the boys were happy and thriving. If you are looking for a school in this area I highly recommend the Montessori Learning Center. Miss Morgan takes wonderful care of my boys. It always makes me feel good when I go to pick them up and they want to stay longer. Also a shout out to Emily, Janet, Carolyn and Ira who also take wonderful care of my kids. This place is not capable of working with kids in their personal aspect. Everything sound good but when you have a kid that never went to school or don't know how to work and socialize with other kids they don't make and effort to guide them. I thought that the Montessori Method was different. Or maybe is because this school is not Montessori 100%. I don't recommend this place.
