Absolutely terrible place if u care about your kids mental health avoid preschool and kindergarten program!! True montessori asks teachers to be gentle and even wisper in class as to it distract other students working but here teachers yell freely. Dont call yourself Montessori school and dont waste our money. Invest in training your teachers. A response to your comment below: even the teacher admitted to assistant yelling since she was old school. I think we all knw the difference between guiding and yelling. Gentle guiding is the way of true Montessori. If I were you I would focus more on having a conversation with the teachers then to question and gaslight parent reviews . We trusted you thats why we sent our kids to you in the first place . Giving time outs isnt Montessori style . I think I have made my point clear .

MMS is an excellent school. Both of our children have attended the school since 4th grade and will graduate this year in 8th grade. The teachers are amazing. They give so much of their time, care, and expertise to their students. They really go above and beyond. The administration really cares about the kids and puts in a lot of effort to have a strong learning environment. They select and support teachers who are passionate about teaching, and have created an organization that is innovative and responsive to the changing needs of education. They have stayed ahead of technology trends and develop the academic, social, and emotional skills required to keep up with those trends in the classroom. The community of families is also wonderful. One must just attend an MMS volleyball game to see how this community is so supportive of each other.

My sons attended MMS from 18 months through the eighth grade. While we are extremely thankful for the teachers our sons had through out their time as they did their best to care for them and enable them to learn. The downside of this school is that the administration is unable to recognize that the curriculum for junior high and upper elementary does not properly prepare these kids for a successful transition to high school. I would recommend the junior hight teachers, just not the administration of this school in general.

My kid really loved Ms Katie the main teacher BUT the teacher assistants are old fashioned and not properly trained in Montessori. I can yell at my kid at home don't need to send her to a school n pay someone do that for me. The kid is there only for few hours I think teachers have to be more gentle on them! Oh and the old lady in the morning who checks kids temperature is sooo moody and on edge! I saw her once take an older kids temperature and throw his bag on the floor because he was late . She needs to take a chill pill , I tried to avoid that line and drop her off, who wants their morning to start like that? The ither teachers helping kids get off the cars were very sweet and helpful . Don't recommend it because of these reasons but the education is good , if thts the only thing tht matters to you

Our boys attended Milwaukee Montessori in the school year 2020 to 2021, the school year of Covid. That was their only year due to our move back east to our family. The boys attended third grade and fifth grade respectively. The experience was incredible. The teachers, the curriculum, and the social components all exceeded expectations. There’s no doubt we would’ve stayed at the school had we stayed in the Midwest.

Our daughter started at 18 months and loved it. When she was 4 we moved and decided to give public school a try. We quickly saw a difference, that even our daughter expressed to us. For K5 she went back to MMS and we couldn't be happier!!
