Midland Montessori School

My kid has loved it since her first day!

A year in, Midland Montessori has been an absolutely amazing experience for our son. He was previously at a very small in-home care situation and I was so nervous about him starting a “school” environment. The transition went well thanks to the wonderful staff, and he has learned and grown SO MUCH that now I would never go back! It’s currently summer and he is asking when he gets to go to school again. Communication is great, the provided food is great (he eats more veggies at school than he does for me), and he potty trained in only a few days’ time thanks to exposure to it at school. You can’t beat small class sizes or the Montessori method. I believe this is the best preschool in town.

My child has been a MMS for 2 years and we have been very pleased. I have a bachelor's degree in Child Development from MSU and spent 7 years working at a NAEYC accredited facility. I have high standards and MMS meets all of them. I have been happy with staff communication. Student to teacher ratio is excellent and I know my child's safety is always top priority. She is ready for kindergarten and we will be very sad to say goodbye.

We have been part of the Midland Montessori family for over 7 years now, with all three of our children attending this wonderful establishment. Currently, our youngest is still benefiting from the exceptional care and attention provided here. We wholeheartedly believe that the nurturing environment and dedicated staff at the center played a crucial role in preparing our older children for kindergarten, especially in terms of their social and emotional development. It has been a joy for us to witness our youngest child blossom into a self-sufficient and confident individual under the guidance of the Midland Montessori. The focus on independence and hands-on learning has truly made a positive impact on our children's growth and development. We are grateful for the enriching experiences our family has had at this center, and we highly recommend it to any parent looking for a nurturing and supportive environment for their children's early years.

Our son has been attending MMS for their 2023/2024 school year and now summer school. He is now 3. I can't say how much we appreciate MMS being there for us and how wonderful they have been for our son. We were late to potty training and they have been very receptive to working on it with us. Every time he has an accident they put his clothes in a ziplock bag and write on there what happened and when. They also give me an update when I pick him up. Our son loves his teachers and always wants to give Ms Sarah a kiss and a hug since he started with her even now that she is in a new role. I highly recommend MMS, they have been a godsend to us in helping socialize and raise our child.

We have had a wonderful experience at MMS! We have a son in the 2-3’s class and one in the 3-6 class and they absolutely love it. The school has been under new leadership for a year now and the communication has been great and has much more of a community feeling. There’s no better feeling sending your kiddo to school knowing they will be cared for.
