Mariposa Montessori

Words cannot describe how much we love this preschool. The teachers and the principal have done a great job at creating a safe and healthy space for kids. After trying 2 other preschool we found this one, we wish we had taken our kid here sooner.

My daughter's attended Mariposa since they were both 2 years old. It was a great school, amazing teachers, and an overall wonderful experience. My daughter's learned so much from emotional-social skills to math and reading. My girls still miss their teachers and talk about Mariposa constantly and are even still friends with many of their old classmates even though they've gone on to other schools. All around 5* experience!! Highly recommend for any parents considering a preschool for their children.

Our family has been beyond thrilled with our experience at Mariposa Montessori in Los Gatos. Their focus on the Montessori Method is evident in all aspects of the school — the classrooms are engaging for the students and geared towards child-directed learning, and the very experienced teachers are calm, encouraging, and know exactly what degree of guidance to offer so that children are constantly empowered and supported. We love the balance of indoor and outdoor learning areas and play spaces at Mariposa. Each classroom has their own large gardening box, and we were impressed to see the array of heirloom tomatoes, beans, peas, greens, and herbs planted and cultivated by the children. There are even two outdoor play areas — one with whimsical play structures in a woodland theme, and the other a natural playscape with outdoor stage, contemplation corner, stepping stumps, outdoor loom, and more gardening boxes. With the staff, sense of community, and variety of learning options — including additional enrichment courses in music, Spanish, art, and other activities — we feel certain we made the best choice for our family and for our daughter.

Both of my children attend and it has been the best preschool experience I could have imagined for my children. Love this school!!!
