We have had a wonderful experience with Maracas. We are a bilingual family, but neither my husband nor I speak Spanish. My son started preschool at Maracas when he was three and he spent three years there until he graduated kindergarten. He is very proud of himself that he is trilingual now. He feels confident when he talks to people in Spanish. He has also expressed interest in learning another new language! Academically, we didn’t realize how advanced he was until he graduated and started first grade at a different school. His math is very advanced and the most important thing is that he has kept his love of learning. He loves challenges. We truly love Maracas and appreciate the teachers’ love and patience with our son. Now our 2 year old daughter just started her journey at Maracas a few months ago. We are very confident that she will also thrive at Maracas!

I'll start by saying that my family moved from the Northeast to Raleigh so that our child could attend Maracas Montessori. We visited the school, met with the head of school, and decided to move on our plane ride home. Two months later we were moved in and our son was enrolled. Details: As a family we are fully committed to two things in our child's education: Montessori and the Spanish language. As a Montessori-child myself, who has two Montessori-teacher parents, I was so happy to find Maracas Montessori. The school follows the Montessori methodology more closely than any accredited Montessori schools I attended in the Northeast. Add the 100% full Spanish immersion and this school is a dream come true! Our son is very happy, growing as a Spanish-speaker (English-speaking home), and has discovered his love for math and writing. I highly recommend Maracas Montessori!

My son is just completing his first year in children’s house and has had a wonderful experience. The playground and garden area are what first attracted us to the school. The faculty and staff have made us want to stay forever! They are nurturing and engaged. The environment is exactly what we wanted for our child. He has grown in confidence, independence, and social skills. His teacher is truly invested in his well being. We couldn’t ask for more.

Great school! Great staff! I only have good stuff to say about Maracas. My daughter loves it, mom loves it! The best decision ever!

The school is beautiful and the teachers are very loving and kind. We found this school because we were looking for Spanish immersion, not for the Montessori method. When I toured the school, the children were busy with their "work" and they were so quiet and focused. It actually put me off at first because I felt like preschoolers should be laughing and singing. I'm so glad we stayed with Maracas. The children sing all the time and they are so happy and calm at the end of their day. Also, the Montessori method NEVER ceases to surprise me with the things my child learns.

Truly the most magical education environment I have ever been a part of. This is not Spanish class; it is the Montessori Method in Spanish, which means students learn how to be confident, intelligent, independent people who happen to be bilingual. Moving from their kindergarten program into traditional schooling has been tough because once you have been at Maracas, nothing will ever be good enough!
