Legacy Montessori School

One of the best decisions we made. We placed our 3 year old daughter here and we love the structure and hands on work they provide to our daughter.

Tremendous school with professional and caring teachers! Our family has been so blessed by Legacy. They are like family to us. The kids have fun, learn critical skills, develop socially, make friends, and are encouraged with song time and hopeful, faith based messages from biblical scripture. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a Montessori School near Poway and Scripps Ranch.

My son joined Legacy when he turned 2. He is now 3.5 years old. We wanted a safe and nurturing environment for our son. I am did not grow up with Montessori education, but I found all of the reviews accurate. I reached out to one of my LONG time friend from high school who has two kids attending Legacy and gave me the confirmation I needed to enroll my little guy. He's thriving and loving school. The classroom size is very generous and the kids are always happy when I pick up my son afterschool. The staff and director of Legacy are amazing, kind, attentive, and nurturing. If you're looking for a place where your kids can thrive, a place where kids can go to school full time and in person, you've found it. We love our Legacy family.

After having issues with the local school district preschool teacher, and deciding the move her to a Montessori school, our daughter has really thrived and matured. The teachers here are knowledgeable and very kind (our child started under 4 years old). It has been a great experience, and we have chosen to leave her in Montessori for TK as well.

Both of my girls have been at Legacy for a year and a half now. My oldest started when she was 3 and is in the Primary classroom. My youngest started at 18 months in the Pre-Primary classroom. Both girls have really excelled on so many levels and in a very safe and clean environment. We are truly blessed to have found Legacy and would recommend it to everyone. The teachers and staff are truly amazing and care so much about each of the kids and their growth academically, socially and spiritually.

My husband and I spent a lot of time researching and visiting schools in San Diego. When we found Legacy Montessori, we knew this was at the place for our children. We were the first family to have 3 kids in all 3 of their programs, so this review will cover all they have to offer! First the pre primary (18months-3 years). We started our son here and immediately saw him thrive. Even his manners, please and thank you! The primary program (3-5 years old) was the best start for our daughter, pre kindergarten. She had such a solid foundation going into elementary school this year and above her peers in reading and math! Our oldest started directly in the elementary program. (My husband and I both wish we found this place earlier and started her in primary!!!) We knew she was behind and the Director thought it was best to have her repeat 1st grade. I was so thankful for their guidance two years ago, because she is now in 3rd grade and thriving! Everyone at this school cares deeply for the children and we are going on 3 years here with our 4th kid starting soon. Can't recommend this place enough!

Legacy Montessori is a wonderful Christian preschool/elementary school. Ms. Katie does a great job administering and leading the school, and our two boys have had a wonderful experience with all of the teachers they have had while moving through their early years. In addition, their handling of the unprecedented challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic has been outstanding.
