Hayward Twin Oaks Montessori School

I’m a transgender alumni of Twin Oaks who graduated here at 2019. When I was student in campus, I didn’t necessarily focus on the whole environment and purpose of this school until when I entered middle school. There were a lot of expectations written on campus and for a while, it was quite difficult because I have a subtle learning disability. Many teachers were helpful overall as however, I somewhat felt like the school was drifting downhill each and every year; either because numerous teachers are leaving because of a specific staff or the sudden changes within campus. Despite that, I did mostly enjoy my 6 years in this school but I feel like I could’ve had a slightly better experience if it weren’t for sudden changes to happen. Though, I completely understand why some had to happen.

As a student I have to say it’s really nice. The teachers are really nice. The whole way we learn is nice because your free do do a lot. I also like how it’s a small school with about 275 I think...
