Guidepost Montessori at Worthington

We were part of Guidepost Montessori’s inaugural class. We couldn’t be happier with our daughter’s care. We love that this school is in a relatively residential area and utilizes lots of safety features (personal code for entry, sign in/out, security cameras, no shared space with other businesses in the building), has an indoor gross motor room and a large outdoor space for play, spacious & beautiful classrooms, as well as calm and caring staff. There is regular communication (at least weekly) from the school newsletter, and emails / questions are responded to promptly. After registering and receiving a place in the school, we were provided several books on montessori method and gentle parenting so our family could better understand and support this method of teaching - which takes place everywhere, not just at school. Our 15 month old was in another montessori program before this one and was used to a young toddler environment, but Guidepost’s program has infants in a classroom from 3 months - 18 months. When she started in the infant classroom at Guidepost she did well, but the teachers noticed she had met all her milestones and was looking for new challenges. So they incorporated a sort of hybrid program for us where she spends most of her day with the toddlers but comes into the infant classroom for nap time so ratios can be safely maintained. She’ll fully transition to the next classroom at 18 months. We were grateful to the staff for noticing these needs (on her very first day!) and working with us to accommodate her environment. It’s just one example of how the staff is attentive, caring, and willing to go the extra mile for our family. We can’t wait to bring our other children here someday, too!
