Guidepost Montessori at Westlake

Amazing place

Our 15-month-old son has been attending Guidepost Montessori at Westlake, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. It’s easy to notice how caring and attentive the staff are. It’s clear that everyone there is genuinely invested in the well-being and development of each child. Our son lights up every morning when drop him off, eager to see his guides and explore the beautifully prepared environment. It’s comforting as a parent to see how much joy he gets from his time there and to know he’s in a place that fosters his growth and curiosity in such a nurturing way. Knowing how important the first few years are for laying the foundation for a happy and healthy life, we’re confident he’s having a positive experience that will stay with him always. We feel incredibly lucky to be part of the Guidepost community and highly recommend it to any parent looking for a thoughtful, loving, and engaging early education experience.

Every time i walk into Guidepost Montessori at Westlake, i feel the caring and nurturing environment. The staff are always so welcoming, and the Admin Team is so responsive and always answers my questions attentively! They have excellent care, communication, and learning. Thank you for creating such a safe space for families!

My son adores it here, the teachers are amazing, and I think it's really helped him be more comfortable that there are male teachers around. It's not often that you see that and I'm really grateful that guidepost has such diversity.

I have my daughter enrolled in the toddler program at Guidepost Montessori Westlake, and she seems so happy here. At home, I have noticed loads of Montessori teaching instilled in her. The way she moves swiftly and calmly throughout a room, and the way she takes out one toy at a time, completes it, and puts it back without me asking... she would not be doing this if it wasn't for her guides implementing Montessori culture to her (she is not even two yet). In addition, it is so heartwarming when nearly everyone is so welcoming to me as a parent, and to my child. There is a strong sense of community at this school which makes me so happy to have that around my family. Importantly, there would be no community if it wasn't for Ms. Melanie, our assistant head of school. Not only has she been here since the school opened, but she has gone above and beyond for everyone here, despite having her own life and family. She is so willing and ready to step in when she is needed. She has so much patience and knowledge of the Montessori method, which is so beneficial to stepping in any community. She is a wonder woman, and I am very lucky to have her around. To add to that, Ms. Courtnee, our head of school, is phenomenal. She always takes the time to address my questions/concerns, while running a tight ship. She hasn't been here long, but I feel like she has. She is full of knowledge and has the perfect personality to be a leader. I am very lucky to have her around as well. Not to mention, Melanie and Courtnee make a fantastic admin team. Basically, if you are looking for a school for your child, I will highly recommend Guidepost Montessori at Westlake. You will love it here.

I visited Guidepost at Westlake to possibly enroll our daughter, and it is a beautiful campus. They have an awesome outdoor space and the leadership staff is really professional. We ended up moving and selecting another guidepost location, but the tour was really great, and i wish we could have sent out child there, had we stayed.

Fantastic Montessori program with engaging teachers and great additional enrichment programs.

Every day is a great day at Guidepost Westlake! Not sure why this place doesn't have more reviews. An amazing preschool. My 10 month old joined the Nido program in Ms. Kristina's class. He loves going everyday and is happy and calm when I pick him up. Despite multiple babies on different schedules, the teachers really helped my child get on a daily rhythm and schedule that I recreate at home. We toured almost all the Montessori pre-schools in Austin, and this Guidepost is by far the easiest to work with and admin communicates clearly and frequently. We feel so grateful to be a part of this community.
