The Elementary class at this school is completely out of control. There is a child who has been bullying and terrorizing the class for over two years. The school still refuses to take action. Many families have left. Only about 10 children remain from the nearly 20 that were there before. The situation has become unsustainable for the teachers. The new principal has just arrived, and everyone is waiting for him to address this issue immediately before the class is completely emptied. It's a shame because the rest of the staff is wonderful, and the Children's House class was an incredible experience when my son was there.

Our son, Theo, started attending Guidepost at Mag Mile when he was one and a half years old, and he has been here for about two years now. As a mom, I truly wanted to find a place where my child could feel happy, safe and know that he is receiving loving care from his teachers. From the very first day, we were impressed by the care and attention he received, especially from Miss Elena. She was incredibly polite, warm and attentive to the children, always knowing exactly what to do to make them feel comfortable and engaged. When Theo moved to Miss Lizet and Miss Gigelle's Toddler class, the excellent care and Montessori lessons continued seamlessly. Miss Lizet and Miss Gigelle are the warmest teachers and truly know how to talk to kids in the right way. I learned a lot from Miss Lizet daily, including how to handle my child's phases of meltdowns or any behavior that I didn’t know how to manage as first time mom. Now, Theo is with Miss Teresa and Miss Laia in children’s house, who are equally wonderful. Miss Teresa excels at teaching the class, knowing exactly what the children need and should learn at each age. Both teachers are patient, nurturing, and genuinely invested in the children's growth and development. Initially, when Theo was 1 and half old, I thought the Montessori method might be too independent for him. However, I have learned from my son that understanding and following rules is essential for their development and independence. Seeing Theo now as 3 and half, I believe this approach has been incredibly beneficial for him. We are so thankful to have this school in our neighborhood. The teachers are easy to approach, and we receive many pictures, keeping us connected to Theo's daily activities and progress. Whenever I ask Theo about his current and previous teachers, he always says they are still his favorite people. This is exactly what we want to hear from our child. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything the kids need for a safe and enriching environment. The staff are professional, friendly, and always willing to communicate. Additionally, Miss Gigi, Miss Olga, and Steven are the staff members I interact with daily. They are incredibly professional and always provide clear and helpful answers to all my questions. Their consistent support and responsiveness make the daycare experience even more reassuring. Overall, this school/daycare provides a wonderful, nurturing environment where children can learn, play, and grow. Highly recommended..

We've had a great experience at Guidepost Mag Mile. Our child has been going there for a year in the Children's House classroom and he is always excited to go to school and thoroughly enjoys his time there.

We sent our baby to Guidepost at the age of 1, and she is almost 2 now. She has had a great experience, grown to be strong, social and happy. In particular, her gross and fine motor skills are well developed. The classroom and teachers are outstanding, and we highly recommend Guidepost to everyone.

We have had a very positive experience in the Nido classroom here. It's great to be able to drop off your kid knowing that they're going to be in good hands. And the photos they send of your kid on a daily basis are priceless.

We love the school community! The guides create a special bond with each child in the classroom. Our son loves and cares for his guides/teachers and each child in his room. The school has such a safe, warm and inviting environment. The classrooms are lovely (made for the child to foster their independence) and the gross motor room has lots of space and equipment for children to independently play. We love that the guides/teachers take the children on walks and adventures outside. They learn and discover things for themselves! We get updates daily through their app and the guides/teachers communicate to parents often. Wonderful staff, great location, highly reccommend! They offer tours so you can see the children environment in live time :)

This school is awesome! The kids have access to impressive classrooms and a giant Gross Motor room for free play time. I appreciate the teachers and staff who are communicative and professional. They send photos every day of the Montessori things they are doing. Thank you for all that you do to make the kids’ experiences such high quality.

Sarah Silverman paints a wonderful picture of the ideals and principles of running a Montessori school however fails miserably in delivery and practice. We definitely felt bait and switched with some of the questions we had asked during our tour and after they accepted our non refundable deposit (convenient). My child’s experiences here is less than ideal considering the fact that I started noticing the teachers never once changed my child’s diaper which is atrocious and unacceptable. Sarah’s attitude and communication style towards me was condescending, confrontational, and patronizing despite the fact my child’s basic needs were not met. I wouldn’t get any updates on how much food my child consumed. Additionally the staff is overworked and isn’t the most engaging with the children at times and some of them don’t even have prior childcare experience nor relevant degrees which is disappointing when you are being charged a premium for your child to receive a Montessori education. Who cares about a beautiful classroom, toys or curriculum when my child is uncomfortably stewing in biological filth for hours on end because the teachers couldn’t be bothered to change diapers. Also they don’t offer a transitional program you basically drop your kid off cold turkey. Morning drop offs are a bit insane as there are usually a bunch of kids crying even ones that have been there full time for months which is a red flag in of itself.
