Guidepost Montessori at Burr Ridge

Thank you, Guidepost, for providing a welcoming, nurturing, and safe learning environment for our mighty boy! Being first-time parents (Mom with a background in research), we did our fair share of homework before choosing Guidepost and we are so grateful to have found the perfect community for our son. ***We commute 30 minutes each way, Monday – Friday.*** Below are a few items specific to Guidepost Burr Ridge, that we appreciate and make a significant difference to our family and just a few reasons why we HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Guidepost Burr Ridge Community for your “Littles”. STAFF: We love the staff, as mentioned earlier every staff member we have encountered has been uber welcoming, nurturing, supportive and communicative. Ms. Nery his lead teacher is very communicative, attentive, and loving and the same holds true for his class Guides (Ms. Stephanie and Ms. Jelena). But more importantly our son FEELS SAFE in their care! 😊 TRANSPARENT APP: - DAILY ACTIVITY TRACKER- Provides a glance of Meals and Toileting activities throughout the day. Informs us on what he ate (Health-Conscious Organic Meals) and how many times his diaper was changed as well as how many times he attempted to use the potty. (Love that they are prepping him for this transition) - DAILY PHOTOS – The staff shares photos throughout each day highlighting the different activities that he participated in. We love seeing the work cycles and his development overall. This also helps Mom/ Dad’s emotional health throughout the day 😊 COMMUNITY EVENTS: The staff is great at hosting "Free" events. They recently hosted a Fall Fair (After School Hours) that included a petting zoo, pony rides, pumpkin painting amongst other nice age-appropriate activities.

Our boy is so happy here! As a first time mom I had my reservations on leaving my baby anywhere and with anyone I wasn’t familiar with. He has been attending for a little over a year now— he was almost 2; started out a bit rocky, but when the new leadership took over shortly after we enrolled, things have only improved. It is definitely the cleanest facility we visited and the staff is super involved. There’s activities available to enroll in to enhance the kids learning experience and development. I really appreciate the staffs effort to organize events to get parents more involved, such as the recent fall fest. My son’s class guides have always demonstrated respect and kindness and I feel very comfortable coming to them with any concern or just to chat about our son’s progress.

We were part of the inaurgal group at this location, and witnessed first hand the many changes over the past 2 years. There were definitely growing pains to get where they are today but I genuinely feel they now have an amazing and solid team of staff members. Extremely happy with and appreciative of all the caring guides (teachers) and staff who help make every day enriching and fun for our kids while at school. It is apparent they put a lot of effort in everything they do. They do a great job of communicating regarding the day to day and progress of our children. I especially love the photos documenting their adorable daily activities. We love our Guidepost community!

Best place for your young's! We put our older son in this school when he was eighteen months old and never regretted. He was in young toddler classroom then in toddler classroom now he is in children’s house. He is happy and love his teacher a lot. I couldn’t imagine he is gonna love school this much. If I could I give 10 stars but can’t 🤗 Special 5 stars for new management, they made this school better then it was. Highly recommend!!!

What a difference! We’ve been enrolled for a little over a year and there has been so much positive change. All our child’s guides/teachers have been outstanding; kind, warm and truly willing to help our little one through his baby and toddler years. Also the aids who add additional support in the classroom have been amazing, I always feel my child is safe and being taken care of. Since new management there have been constant cosmetic changes that make the facility clean and comfortable. We’ve loved our time here and so happy with all the amazing changes and ongoing support!

The best way to put it they are simply clueless ! Here are some examples : When I asked how did my kid do today ? They say well I don't really know or the best one “ he has his moments 😂” . For nap time, they pair each kid with a family photo for soothing. I came to pick him up during nap time and it wasn’t even our photo ! We didn’t even let our kid finish the first month. They told us we will receive an email when we left the school from their corp to discuss what happened .. we never did Now he is a much better daycare thank god.

Great school and location! The staff is amazing, courteous and professional. Both my children love it here.
