First Five Montessori Family Child Care

First my son started going to First Five Montessori Family Child Care then my daughter too. It is absolutely wonderful experience with Mayeli and her staff. It is clear that this place is built on a foundation of care, warmth, and genuine attention to each child's needs. They are patient, kind, and always ready to offer individualized support. It's easy to see that they truly care about fostering a positive, enriching experience for every child in their care. Our kids have made so much progress, and we are confident that this place is giving them the best possible foundation for future learning. We also love the family-oriented atmosphere. It’s comforting to know that our child is not just another student, but a valued member of this little community. Mayeli and her team is the absolute best!! My daughter attended from the time she was 3months until she graduated to go to Kindergarten. Mayeli is caring, attentive and has so great activities for students to participate in. My daughter absolutely loved going to school and enjoyed helping Mayeli. The place was always clean and she offered great food choices for the kids to eat daily. She does a great job communicating with parents and i was always well informed about what was happening on a daily basis. I referred her daycare all the time to my friends who needed care. I would have liked for my son to attend but we moved away. My daughter still talks about Mayeli and family and she will call and Facetime. Special thanks to Mayeli for making our first daycare experience truly amazing.

Wonderful Montessori – Safe, Nurturing, Family-Owned, and very Organized! Our son attended this amazing Montessori for two years, and we can’t say enough positive things about our experience. Although it’s home-based, the Montessori is incredibly well-organized, with separate dedicated spaces for the children, including a library, an outdoor play area, and classrooms thoughtfully set up just like any other Montessori or school. It never felt like a typical home daycare — it’s truly a professional and enriching learning environment. The school is family-owned, and the care, attention, and warmth they provide are unmatched. Ms. Mayeli and her team are wonderful, ensuring the children’s safety, well-being, and development every single day. We were especially impressed by how engaged, attentive, thoughtful the team has been. Everything is maintained to the highest standards, which gave us such peace of mind. They also provide healthy meals, which truly made things so much easier for us working parents. Over the two years, we saw him flourish both academically and socially, and we attribute so much of his growth to Ms. Mayeli, her team, and the Montessori’s nurturing approach. Now that we are in TK, we are really seeing how he seems to be ahead of his peers in his performance academically (spelling, ABCs, numbers, counting, etc.), and socially (how to make friends, play with others, say no, etc.). I truly give all kudos to Ms. Mayeli and her team for preparing my son. If you’re looking for a clean, safe, and loving environment that feels like an extension of family while offering a structured learning space, we highly recommend this Montessori.

Mayeli and her team are amazing! We started bringing my daughter when she was 2 years old and my infant son when I had to go back to work. We had been taking her to a larger daycare before here. I honestly didn't know very much about the Montessori method before we came here. Right away, we noticed a big positive difference and now I recommend Mayeli to everyone. Mayeli was so patient and compassionate with my daughter during the daycare transition. My daughter also learned so much. She came home telling us new letters or numbers that my husband and I didn't teach her. She also sang little Spanish nursery songs which was wonderful to hear! I think this daycare helped prepare her for TK. She started TK already knowing how to write her name and is doing great with her letters and numbers. My son is so attached to the daycare staff especially Miss Mari. He is now two years old and I have every intention of keeping him here until he starts TK. The space itself is a really cute, cozy set up. I love the family photo wall and the little play area she created in the backyard. I am forever grateful for the nurturing she gives my two babies!

Miss Mayeli and her staff are wonderful with the children. I couldn't be any more grateful for all they have done for my daughter. I wish I would've found this daycare gem when my daughter was younger. I appreciated Miss Mayeli's carefully planned and structured curriculum for her little students. Her creative learning activities with fun materials spark the children's interests and imagination. The home is a positive and respectful place for all children. She understands and respects children's feelings and emotions and needs. Holidays and birthdays are always special and celebrated days with fun decorations. The home daycare facility is always kept clean and sanitized. In the short amount of time she was with Miss Mayeli my daughter was potty trained, learned to write her name, phonetics and she was able to read by the time she graduated! My daughter is now in kindergarten and doing exceptionally well academically. I couldn't be any more satisfied with the genuine care my daughter received at First Five Montessori. My daughter loves Miss Mayeli and we will forever be grateful for this experience🥰

Best place nothing less

My daughter started going to first five Montessori when she was just under a year old. She stay here until she started kindergarten. When i tell you this daycare is the absolute best, i mean it. Mayeli shows so much love and compassion for the children. Finding this daycare was the biggest blessing. I never had to worry about my daughter while i was at work. I knew she was in the best care. My daughter is 7 now and we still keep in touch and my daughter visits Mayeli as often as we can. I can’t recommend this daycare more! She’s amazing!!!

Mi hijo comenzó a asistir a First Five Montessori cuando tenía 18 meses, después de que yo tenía dificultades para encontrar un lugar que tuviera conocimientos sobre niños con necesidades especiales. Nuestro hijo ahora tiene 5 años y no hay duda de que habíamos tomado la decisión correcta en la colocación de cuidado infantil. Estábamos nerviosos por enviar a nuestro hijo a una guardería ya que había muchas preguntas sobre si las instalaciones seguían protocolos de seguridad en constante cambio durante la pandemia. Habría sido muy difícil para mi esposo y para mí trabajar a tiempo completo y aun así mantener a nuestro hijo, si no tuviéramos a la Sra. Mayeli a nuestro lado. La comunicación de la Sra. Mayeli y sus capacitaciones e instalaciones cumplen con el código del condado de Santa Clara. Algunas cosas por las que estoy absolutamente satisfecho con este centro de cuidado infantil son: 1. El lugar está limpio y organizado. Desinfectar frecuentemente los espacios compartidos durante la pandemia. 2. Es un Montessori, por lo que los muebles de madera y el área de aprendizaje meticulosa permiten un ambiente acogedor y de aprendizaje para todas las edades. El modelo Montessori es excelente para que los niños se conviertan en pensadores independientes, y el grupo de edades mixtas y la diversidad de la población estudiantil permiten que los niños aprendan unos de otros y se ayuden unos a otros. 3. Ella pone mucho esfuerzo por la decoración de fiestas y cumpleaños, y las fotografías que recibo de ella de los eventos especiales son para atesorar. My son started attending First Five Montessori after he was 18 months, after I was having difficulty finding a place that was knowledgable with children with special needs.our son is 5 yrs now, and there is no doubt that we had made the right choice of child care placement. We were nervous about sending our son to a childcare since there was so many questions about Facilities following ever-changing safety protocols during the pandemic. It would have been very difficult for my husband and me to work fulltime and still provide our child, if we didn't have Mrs. Mayeli by our side. Mrs. Mayeli communication and her trainings and facility is up to code with Santa Clara county. Some things that I am absolutely great full for this child care facility are: 1. The place is clean and organized.Frequently sanitizing shared spaces during the pandemic. 2. It's a Montessori, so the wood furniture and meticulous learning area allow for a welcoming atmosphere and learning for all ages. The Montessori model is great for kids to become independent thinkers, and the mixed age group and diversity of the student population allow the kids to learn from and help each other. 3. Mrs. Mayeli and her staff cooks wholesome meals for the kids and offers daily snacks. I've been spoiled off this meal plan inclusion. Mayely was very mindful of preferences or dietary restrictions. 4. One of the greatest blessing is that Mrs. Mayeli helps potty train the kids with some sort of experienced caretaker magic that's much more efficient than what I could accomplish at home. 5. Mrs. Mayeli throws the best parties! She goes big on holiday and birthday decor, and the pictures I get from her from the special events are to be treasured.

The best daycare hands down! Both my sons went to Mayelli from 5 months all the way until we moved due to the military. If u could’ve packed Mayeli and her family to bring them with me, I would’ve! She’s the sweetest and kindest especially to the kids! And my toddler would eat nothing and be so picky at home but with her he would eat everything! And the learning was exceptional! I have yet to find another teacher and kind heart like her! If you have the chance to be apart of her school and daycare family I wouldn’t hesitate for a second!
