Eagle Rock Montessori School

The director of this school Ute is very mean. She says impulsive out of control things to parents - so I can only imagine how she treats children when parents aren’t around. If your child is experiencing any kind of family hardship, do not expect any grace from the director. We were going through a divorce and had a meeting with Ute and I was tearing up in during our meeting and she told me to “get my act together and get into a therapy” - a statement my ex husband would continually use to shame and discredit me. The same ex husband who has since lost all custody of our daughter due to DV (I have sole physical and legal custody). Ute says extremely inappropriate things to parents. She also doesn't monitor many of the teachers who yell at kids if they're experiencing trauma or crying at school. I will never be able to understand why our daughter was treated so cruelly while going through something so difficult. Also there are no opportunities for creativity nor freedom of expression at this school. They’re basically taught to be industrious robots. I wish I could go back and send our daughter to anywhere else other than ERM.

Please Be cautious and educate yourself on this school before you decide to take your little one there, just because it’s a high price school doesn’t mean it has the best interest in your child’s needs.
