Does Creative Montessori have a response to the allegations that were made in a previous review?

There were multiple little issues I had with the school, but what I cannot get over was the jobs assigned to students in the classroom. I support assigning jobs for keeping a classroom organized and teaching students to take care of their school, but our son was assigned to clean the classroom bathroom AND students, at the time, did not rotate out of jobs. They expected him to clean the bathroom--flush the toilet if it wasn't flushed, pick paper off the bathroom floor and put it in the trash--for the entire school year. I was disgusted. This caused a lot of angst in our son and it still bothers him to this day whenever we pass by the nearby public playground or donut shop near the school. We are so grateful for the patience and kindness his new teacher had and she helped him love school again. My other minor gripe was how unwelcoming the faculty was to my family. Only one of his teachers would even take the time to turn and make eye contact whenever we would interact. The front office secretary was especially unfriendly and lacked soft skills. Maybe I have different expectations of teachers and school faculty coming from Oklahoma. I know I handled people very differently whenever in a retail position delivering customer service and that carried over to me when I became a classroom teacher and interacted with parents and guardians of my students. So maybe it's just me.

Great school that is even better following their extensive renovations.

Our two daughters attended Creative Montessori School - the oldest from 4k through 6th grade and the youngest from 18 months through 6th grade. In both, the school fostered a love for learning, a passion for reading, and kind/considerate spirits. I knew little about Montessori before enrolling our oldest daughter but was quickly won over by the philosophy & methodology of teaching. Our girls excelled in this environment in ways I am certain they would not have in a traditional classroom during their preschool and elementary school years. Montessori does not have tests or grades, yet our daughters test very well (no need to "teach to the test"...) and our oldest has maintained excellent grades at The Altamont School for the two years since she left Montessori (our youngest starts at Altamont this coming year, so no grades yet). I don't believe we could have found a better home for our girls during their adolescent years nor could we have given them a better foundation for middle school, high school, college, or life, than Creative Montessori School (I wish I had such an opportunity when I was a child & & wish every child had such an opportunity in both private and public schools).
