I have four children and am a pediatrician. My kids have always attended Montessori, to include private grade school in Colorado. After we moved to Texas, I wanted to continue in this style of education. We are also enrolled at MSSA as well for a point of reference. My kids enroll for the summer and really enjoyed themselves. Yes, they came home with sand in their hair, paint on their clothes, and dirt in their fingernails. Yes, they played outside at all times of day and required daily sunscreen (I'll take that any day to bundling up toddlers for snowy weather for 10 minutes of playtime). My kids left me each day without hesitation, eager to start their school day. I was greeted warmly by each teacher and felt they knew my kids well. My kids came home with a wide array of topics to discuss, which varied weekly through the entire summer. The staff was always professional and quick to communicate any concerns with me. The facility is a little older, but don't let that fool you. I think this is a great place for a true Montessori style program with a great emphasis on early education.

I would give even 0 star if I would have an option for this. So my son is in country day school pre k. He is three years old always come from school with dirty sand bottle and drinking all day from that dirty water from bottle with his runny nose in playground. Nobody even bothers to clean his nose that spread all aver his face. They doesn't care about weather either its too sunny or cold. If you go at 11am your kid would be out in playground. If you go at 5:30pm your kid would be out. Today it was raining and i told ms. Haley that its cold and rainy and kids are out in rain boots. She told me that its not cold seriously!! Your kid has wear jacket or cap or not nobody care they just leave kids outside in playground on their own to figure out everything. One day my kid was all wet when I questioned, ms. Natalie told me that they are building their immunity but letting kid outside in wet cloths on cold weather. Seriously how pathetic is this. I would seriously urge everyone that please first ask the parents who's kids are in country day and than get an admission and i bate once you know all this nobody wants their kids to go their.

It is a great school! Our daughter went there for her first grade until we moved to Austin. She absolutely loved going to this school. She said that teachers and kids there were very kind. She enjoyed the activities that they did in the school and she learned a lot! I am very happy that our daughter went to the Country Day Montessori School. It is an outstanding school with great environment. Pros: amazing location, small school size, before and after school program available, excellent staff. Cons: no cons.

The children that attend this school are well ahead in academics compared to the public system . Mrs Williams has devoted her life to her work her and it shows.

We have now moved to Austin but both my children have been set up for success because of their 3 years at Country Day. All the staff from Ms Betty to the individual classroom and special programs teachers have been amazing to work with. I cannot recommend a better place to place our precious children at where they will be loved, cared for and nurtured to reach their full potential.

I've enrolled four children over twenty years at this school and have only wonderful things to say about the staff. The facility is marvelous. we have a total of a decade at this school. Two of my children have had Ms. Martha who has been nothing but kind. Love this school. My adult children are poised and kind . I attribute this to their excellent start at the Country Day School.

A terrible experience! Not what you think and certainly not worth the money. We met Ms. Betty (the owner) on our second trip to visit. Within minutes she was telling us that we were all "A Great Fit". She didn't even know us. I didn't like her approach and she seemed more less trying to convince us that this was "the one". We enrolled our son (4 1/2) for the summer camp and on day one we called twice to check on him. Both times they told us he was doing great. When we picked him up my wife went in as I waited in the car. Our son came outside and as soon as he saw me he started crying. He was very very upset. I asked him what was wrong and he said they were mean to him. I asked my wife what happened and she said that his teacher (Ms. Martha) said everything went perfectly and they had no issues. Hmmmm... something didn't add up. I consoled my child and then I called the school to find out. I spoke with Ms Martha and she said there was a problem and it was a small issue that didn't seem like a big deal. This was never communicated at pick up. The next morning at 8:30 in the morning I received a phone call from Ms. Betty. She was direct in saying that I called and berated Ms Martha and that it was unacceptable for me to do that. (It didn't happen) She then said that I needed to teach my child how to act at home and that we were not a good fit for her school. She would barely let me speak and was smug and impolite during the whole conversation. She even shorted us on the refund. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PLACE!! AND YOUR CHILD IS TOO IMPORTANT TO NOT GET ALL THE INFORMATION UP FRONT!!! THEY ARE HIDING SOMETHING
