My kids loved this school when we lived in Colorado. (I wish there were more of these in other states.) They grew up to be very confident, capable adults.

I have been going to compass since I was five. I have loved this school ever since. Yes this school isn't the best, but they still try their best. I have never gone a public school but I also know that this School gives a one of a kind education. I think that if went to public school I would not be as creative and as independent. Just like everyone and everything they have their downfalls but this school is the right school for me. I am not trying to say that public schools are bad. After spending nine years here i have aquiered many skills that can be contributed to adult life.

We were asked to remove my son from the preschool after one month. My frustration with the school lies with how the situation was handled, not the fact that he was asked to leave. If he was as violent as they say he was they were right to ask him to leave, but we have never seen this behavior anywhere else and were not allowed to observe him in the classroom so we do not know what was actually going on. We did not feel that we could trust the teachers or administration because of inconsistencies in their statements. Many of the teachers' complaints were typical preschool behaviors, especially for a child new to the Montessori setting. This made us question the validity of the more serious complaints. We were given two days notice that he needed to leave aftercare. Two weeks later we were given two days notice that he needed to leave the school. They said that they would release his records for his evaluation with Childfind but when I requested the records they stated that they would not provide them. Compass may be a great school for "typical" kids but it is not a supportive setting for children who have developmental delays or behavioral challenges.

Wonderful campus. Wonderful people. You will be hard pressed to find a better run charter school anywhere.
